Message Subject Why do people driving next to me look so lifeless?

Are we in a big fucking video game? At a stoplight, I glance to the right and see an old mexican man driving, hunched over the wheel, hands at 10 and 2, mouth hanging open, head fixed forward.

I look to the left and see a woman with a scarf, 6 empty spaces from the car in front of her. WTF, pull up, bitch!

The light changes, I look over at other drivers. All the same open mouth, slack-jawed, lifeless postures.

Wait, there's a stereotypical businessman in a black Mercedes, window down, left hand holding a folded Wallstreet Journal against the steering wheel. Right hand holding a large Starbucks cup.

And there's an old pale blue rust-bucket of a pickup truck ahead. I already know. Yep. Straw hat farmer wearing suspenders.

All characters in my video game?

My thoughts exactly. What exactly separates you from them OP that you talk as if you're so far above them? What do they see when they pull up next to you and look in your direction? Do you think you look that much more unique to them when they pull up next to you at the light?

What do you think other people should look like while they're driving around? If they're paying attention to the road, you call them slack jawed zombies. You want them to make faces at you? Then you'd call them crazy. What if they're talking to other people? Then you'd complain because they're not paying attention or probably "prattling on about stupid materialistic things" or something.

And why are you worried about how they're dressed? You think it's weird that there's a guy in a pickup wearing a straw hat. What would you prefer to see? A guy in a Lexus wearing a straw hat, a business suit, and a pair of cowboy boots? With a gun rack on the back of the Lexus? Then you'd complain because he looks stupid, simply because he doesn't clearly conform to one of the stereotypes you just bashed.

Honestly, I have to wonder what's going on with you that you're so worried about how other drivers look.
