I wouldn't call 1% or 2% a "crush". Now that the Election is over, there are all sorts of proofs of Election fraud out there. I just think that the Repubs and Independents are still "shell-shocked" that what initially appeared to be a "cake-walk" ended up being a disastrous failure.

And I agree with the poster who said that now we are taking measures for our OWN survival (as well as that of our families, friends, and neighbors) because (as we have seen with Hurricane Sandy) the Government which we were brought up to trust has been revealed to be totally powerless as far as protecting us from disasters, or addressing the aftermath.

What is really scary is the realization that not only are we "on our own" as far as survival goes, but that the very Government which is Constitutionally charged with ensuring our safety, security, and well-being is ACTIVELY ENGAGED in destroying our Country and the lives of its' own citizens by any means possible, the more Draconian the better.

I wouldn't have believed it 10 years, or even 5 years, ago.

Now every morning I wake up to discover that some new regulation, scheme, or Executive Order has taken yet another "bite" out of MY Freedom, MY money, and MY way of life. I have always been a peaceful, law-abiding citizen, and have merely desired to be left alone. But now my own government has intruded into my life to the point that it appears that I am being backed into a corner.

And we all know what happens when a living organism perceives that it has been backed into a corner.

My feeling regarding this Country and its' citizens is that "the worm is about to turn".
