ARGENTINA TURNING IN A NAZI NARCOSOCIALIST state: Argie government will expose fiscal data of any who criticize the government on the media!
This is just insane.
Socialists are pushing gradually for less freedom for argentinians.
Since 2012, we can´t buy foreign currency. We must ask the local IRS ( AFIP) to sell us foreign currency. They authorize 24 hs before a trip. So they know if you travel overseas to which country will you go and how much time you will spend there. we can´t buy foreign currency . but local iinflation is +20%. so , go figure.

Now the nazi argentinian government is getting ready to expose your fiscal data if you dare to criticize the government.

I am sad. Argentina is slowly turning in a nazi narcosocialist state.
the NWO has begun.

Please help us and send your positive thoughts to Argentina.

Funny thing, myself I am from Norway and have lived around the world. Now 7 years in Argentina - to me, Argentina is the BEST country I ever lived in so far. Very free, liberal, and great people. Never had any problems here, and I live a nice peaceful life in comparison to what I did before in REAL fascist-nazi countries.

Is there a limit to how much currency the FAIP (or whatever the initials are) will sell you at any one time? Do they add on extra fees or is it done at close to the current exchange rate?

ZERO is the amount allowed to buy "for savings".
there are exceptions made for exporters and importers.
Some say that companies allied to the government get a quicker access to foreign currencies.

there are strict limits for the amount to buy for traveling which I hear are very inconvenient.
This is very nasty.

yeah right. you get a 40-50% destruction of your wealth!

*The government lied with statistics.+20% inflation
*Economists scared to talk about the economy because of fear of retaliation
*massive drain of dollar deposits. Almost 50%
*MASSIVE DROP in trade surplus. 50% year over year
*increasing food prices leading to stagflation
*total collapse of the real state business and construction. worst situation in decades!
*crime is extremely high specially in suburbs
*two major national protests ( 13S and 8N).
*1 NATIONAL STRIKE only in the first year after the elections.
*worst public transportation in decades. +40 dead when a train crashed to a main station. nothing happened. everything goes the same.

do you need me to continue?

As said, yes, the economical situation is somewhat bad here.

I have lived in 8 countries and as said Argentina is the best place I ever been, and I have no intentions of moving from here.

The worst places in the world are the northern european ones, Norway, Sweden, very fascist police state. Great Brittain is a buggered place too. USA is shit. Mexico is terrible. Brasil is too corrupt, too poor, too violent.

LOL. Yes , you still see some ugly old cars around, its not unusual to see 30-40 year old cars still going. But, here its not all just poor , there is a pretty big difference between poor and rich here, one of the negative things in some ways.

The people here are very warm, friendly, polite and likeable. Some of the best people I ever came across on my many travels in the world. Its pretty free and liberal as far as governments goes too, they dont pester you much. If you do things privately, they let you do most things, its legal to fire up some joints or do some drugs in your own place, even growing a couple marijuana plants will be fine. Doing it in public, or for commercial purposes, can give you problems though. You can still exercise your freedom of speech and share your opinions in the public, to much greater extent than other places of the world. Politically, its a multi-party system with all kinds of political voices active.

In what way is life "worst", compared to the other countries we have mentioned? For me , as said, its been the greatest place to live.

So you are from here? If so, always good to get to know your roots :)

And yeah I love the place, really do. Sure, bigger cities can have some problems, but where in the world is there NO problems in such places? Nowhere.

For example in Norway, where I come from, we have way too much immigrants and criminals now, if you walk down the streets, you see around 50% of the people being from pakistan, middle east, africa, south america, asia etc. Take a bus, and that is up in 80% LOL.

And you have too much drug addicts and drunkards. Walking down a small norwegian town of 70 000 inhabitants and you will meet more junkies in one day flying around wasted off their asses than you see in the millions big capital here in a full year lol.

And the police is too bothersome over in northern europe, they are literally sitting out spying on people just to get a chance to jump out to "bust" someone if a beer can is opened outside ones private home, or someone fires up a blunt. Then bam in jail for the night, and big fine to pay. Here the police have done the opposite, and helped me home when too drunk in the streets, even brought my bags of beer and wine with me so I could continue in peace at my home lol.

People are cold and rude, crude and unfriendly, doesnt greet each other or anything. Here people are very friendly, warm and polite, strangers even greet each other and chat along.

You make some great points about Argentina, my Norwegian friend, but, like me, you're doing it from the perspective of a foreigner living here. As Strongman Shelford correctly points out, being a native Argentinian is a much different kettle of fish. Do you make your living solely in pesos, like the typical Argentine does? Is your only access to a bank account your Argentinian one, where you're subject to the government's recently-imposed 15% tax on everything you use your credit card for while outside Argentina? Being a foreigner here is great, especially if you have a way to get U.S. dollars into the country and take advantage of the black market exchange rate. But being a native Argentine is becoming increasingly difficult, in all the ways Strongman describes in his posts. Here's a good article that talks about the credit card issue I just mentioned:

[link to news.yahoo.com]

And in terms of the currency, the Argentine peso falls in value daily vs. the U.S. dollar (and no, that is not a misprint; it falls DAILY). Unfortunately, hyperinflation or another peso crash looms in Argentina's near future. Even for a foreigner with a foreign passport and a foreign source of income, things will get difficult in a hurry when the peso collapses again.

I can attest to this, as well. If we convert the cost of goods and services into U.S. dollars, Argentina is still a relatively cheap place to live. It's not nearly as cheap as a place like Thailand, though, which is similar in terms of its level of economic development. And Argentina is only cheap if you're a) a rich Argentine or b) a foreigner with a foreign source of income in a stronger, more stable foreign currency. And the rate of inflation here is breathtaking. It's kicking the average Argentine's ass (hence the huge N8 demonstrations last month). They are pissed off, and rightly so.

Last I checked citizens out number their governments by a lot...

If you are being taken advantage of, maybe you should stop being cowards, stop arguing about dumb ass issues, unite, and storm your government buildings. Shit could be completed in less than 48 hours. Have a new election, with real candidiates. Double check the voting. All the meanwhile have every farmer produce food and give it away for free. Once new officials are elected they will tax money to cover the farmers cost.

Shit isn't that hard to accomplish... If you work together.

If you want to sit there and bitch about political ideologies, beliefs, and the rest of the non important issues, you will be robbed for everything you have.

I appreciate your positivity, but you're oversimplifying things by a considerable margin. Have you been to Argentina? Do you know much about the country? It's easy to tell people what they have to do when you don't know their country or their situation. On November 8th, there were huge protests in every major city in Argentina, most small towns, and most Argentinian embassies in countries all over the world. At several of the protests in Argentina, protesters held up signs that said (translated into English), "Get the helicopter warmed up, Christina. You're going to need it!", in reference to the Argentinian people causing then-president De la Rúa, in the aftermath of the peso crash in 2001, to be airlifted by helicopter from the roof of the Casa Rosada (the Argentinian version of the White House in the U.S.). The day the American people storm the White House and chase a sitting president from the building, your opinion will have more merit. Calling the Argentinians cowards smacks of lack of knowledge about just what kind of people they are.
