They are now one of many countries stepping up the fight against Genetically Modified Organisms, but will the United States join the bandwagon in stopping the influence of GMO giants as countries like Peru have? They join a growing list of countries who have placed bans or restrictions on GMO foods. Japan and Egypt have banned the cultivation of GMO crops and other countries have placed import bans on the corn. Ireland placed a ban on growing them in 2009 and the list is getting bigger of countries placing restrictions and requiring labelling. At last people are beginning to wake up.
