Proud flesh or overgranulation.

I had a hematoma burst open recently from a surgical scar.


It bled to clear off the blood.


Then while healing, flesh protruded out from it.

It wouldn't heal for a week. Wound wouldn't close.


Then I keep scrubbing it with q-tip laced with betadine.


Very aggressively till it bleeds (no pain at all).


The flesh was scrubbed away and leveled down.. Now my scar is healing and seems to be closing.

Is this proud flesh or overgranulation? Anyone dealt with this on their wound before?
