Wikipedia defines hip hop like this:
Hip hop music, also called hip-hop,[1][2] rap music[2][3][4] or hip-hop music,[2][5] is a music genre consisting of a stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping, a rhythmic and rhyming speech that is chanted.[2] It developed as part of hip hop culture, a subculture defined by four key stylistic elements: MCing/rapping, DJing/scratching, break dancing, and graffiti writing.[6][7][8] Other elements include sampling (or synthesis), and beatboxing.
Good citizens defines hip hop like this:
A bunch of bums whining people, dressing like zombies, talking like dogs, consuming all kind of drugs, drinking like there's no tomorrow, listening to an annoying noise that sounds like two skeletons dancing on a metal plate, making "graffiti" in good people's walls without permission and always waiting for "the first of the month" when the paycheck comes in. And even so, they call it "culture".

Mcdonalds makes a pretty basic hamburger plain cheap and made by a corporate machine. OK now your moms makes a bomb bacon cheese burger with love and care just for your pallet but, your homie has never eaten a burger like that so he says "All hamburgers are shity and generic" but your like "you have never eaten my OG Burger bro". Now there you have it i see what you don't because i have listened and lived to real hip hop where you have proven to me you haven't by quoting what you think it is. I think you just don't like the STYLE of Hip-Hop you have been exposed to. Rap is something you do hip-hop is something you live- KRS-ONE Rap is a gimmick, but I'm for the hip-hop, the culture.
