I this hard to believe since JW's aren't prone to praising a head of wordly government. They are respectful but they only recognize Jehovah as their supreme leader and lord. JW's don't vote so they don't have a 'horse-in-the-race' so to say.

They got 1914 from 607 BC or the date Babylon fell. I looked the date up on their website and there is information telling how they came upon this for anyone who is interested. Others say there is another date that Babylon fell but what is telling is that 1914 was significant and that man called it. But what I do believe is that we are living in significant times. Many Christians believe this. So date or not date it looks like Jesus is getting closer to returning.

JWs are familiar with camps, they were labeled with the purple triangle by the Nazis (like the star of David the Jews got).. they also KNOW things are getting ugly, and worse.

BUT

I don't think they'll be spreading the word.. you see, they preach about the good things to come under Christs' dominion, not the crap going on now.. unlike most other "semi-christian" denominations like Seven Day Adventists and any other "fringe christians of the internet" that talk more about the amazing Satan built up his empire of nonsense than what Jesus and YHWH have in store for us.

I'm not a JW per se, but share the same "faith" and am quite sure that if there's any "real christians" out in the world today, in their ranks you'll find the highest concentration of true followers of Christ.. ;)

Yes, I think they like to focus more on the positive than the negative. That is really how it should be. And I believe you about the JW's. They are serious about their faith. Maybe if others were they would be going door to door as well. But I would think that would take humility and guts. It would also take a knowledge of the bible and your belief system. I talk to many people who call themselves Christians and most don't know why they believe the way they do and of course couldn't teach anyone else. Very sad.

I study the bible every week with 2 JW's I've known for several years. I've learned more STUDYing with them than I ever understood from my church.

No, there is nothing satanic about them. And they do follow the Bible. They would even martyr themselves before going to war and murdering others. And they have. That is really showing love and following what Jesus said here:

It is best when someone tells you about a religion(especially someone who doesn't like them) to do your own research and talk to those who are actually involved as well.

Yes, many people who attend church have no idea why they believe what they do. Jesus said they should all be teachers but of course they couldn't teach something they haven't been taught. Too many times church becomes a social club so you end up with people who are ignorant of their beliefs or who could really care less what they believe.
