Clay County Schools Closed For Rest Of Week Due To Illness [link to www.newschannel5.com] (Link above for page..entire story below) CLAY COUNTY, Tenn. – Clay County Schools will close for the rest of the week due to illness, school officials announced Tuesday. The school system will close Wednesday through Friday due to many students being sick with the flu. They will return to school on Monday, December 10. This is the third school system in the mid-state to close for illness. Last week, both Stewart and Macon County schools closed for several days due to illness.
