One of my very good friends is going through the same thing you are. Their daughter was 21 too. It's a task every single day just to keep your head straight, let alone continue on and not falter. I truly do wish you well my friend. I will keep you and yours in my thoughts and prayers, and know that even though I don't know you, I do feel for you. I care and hope you continue to find the goodness in the tragedy you were dealt. I can't make it go away, but I can tell you I care, and hope that it will help in some small way.

I just voted for Ryan, I think he has a good voice! The song was great but not for his voice. I voted for the song he wrote, he should always keep that dream of his going. Tell him he had a good friend in your daughter and always keep her in mind, if he feels down see will be watching, I really believe they watch over the people they love.

As God said, we will be like unto angels, and angels pop in and they also watch over people.

I did listen to the song and I'm touched by what your daughter achieved in such a short life. I'm a recovering addict too.

The similarities are astounding.

My good friends, whom I spoke of in an earlier post, lost their daughter the exact same way. I babysat their children, and watched their daughter grow up. At 21, she was killed on the back of a motorcycle.

Know that you are not alone in this kind of pain, OP. There are others out there struggling every single day to deal with the hand, like yours, they've been dealt. Kimura was their only daughter.

a motorcycle accident she was an excellent person and daughter who I couldn't have been prouder of. She was a college student when she died but before that she was president of her senior high school class and Student Council member all of high school, played basketball, worked hard and got excellent grades her whole life and was in SADD she was described by many as one of the most well rounded people you would ever meet.

She went to a music event and saw one of her friends he asked her to go around the block for a ride...I'm sure she didn't know he was going to go 100mph into the side of a semi truck with a driver that didn't mention that he just borrowed the motorcycle and didn't own or have a license. 45 seconds later everyone realized there had been an accident and her friends were the first to go down the street to help.

There is a lot more to the story the before and after of it all but she died at the hospital later after they told me she was brain dead and bleeding so bad that even though they kept giving her blood they could not do anything so the hospital put me through hell until I gave the ok to take her off of life support. I struggled so hard with that decision the hardest of my life and it still haunts me. It was truly horrible how the hospital handled the situation and put so much pressure on a parent while I was in so much turmoil.
She was a person that didn't take risks, she love life and cared so deeply for her friends and family she just wanted to make a big difference in this world. I never thought in a million years that something like that would happen to her. You are never prepared for anything like losing a child.

Yes that is her....I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter, it is such a terrible thing to lose a child. Peace and love be with them

Most people on GLP are outstanding people from my experiences here and that says something great and gives me hope for the future!

I believe for all the bad we witness and go through in life that there is so much more good! you just have to keep your eyes open for it...sometimes its hard to see when the bad can seem so relentless and overwhelming.
