I love the irony if the muslims start declaring jihad against each other on a regular basis.

Whoever made this statement should have totally illegitimized himself in the eyes of the islam world. AFAIK jihad can only be declared in defense or promotion of the faith, not to support a personal aim.

But whatever, religion is just another power tool. They should sell "make your own version" in hardware stores.

What's really interesting about the whole thing, is how Morsi declared this dictator status hours after he met Hillary Clinton after brokering the cease fire Israel wanted.

Example: same thing happened during the 1979 Iran revolution. There was an economic slowdown, food prices went up, so suddenly the heavy-handed Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, no longer seemed like an effective authoritarian figure.

At the same time, Socialists were coming to power in both US and France where Aytollah Khomeini was hiding at one time.

And so Leftists-secularists became the driving force behind calls for Shah to step down. Now, normally, Shah would have kicked their ass and restored order --- but Jimmy Carter expressely FORBADE him. Sounds familiar to anyone today? Think homosexual narcissist community-organizer...

And really, it's not a phonomenon exclusive to radical Islam, either. Something similar happened in Tsarist Russia in 1917:

1. While he's wasn't a tyrant or anything, Czar Nicholas II wasn't charismatic so the people didn't really love him that much.

2. World War I was by far the most brutal meat-grinder that anyone had seen in history of world warfare up until that point. So the Russians blamed Nicholas II for being incompetent in the war AND for the resultant economic depression. Plus, as Austro-Hungarian Empire was crumbling, the mood was decisively anti-Monarchy in Europe.

3. Originally the Liberal-Democrats were tasked to form the government.

4. However, hard-core COMMUNISTS like Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky and Joseph Stalin had other ideas. You see, for years they tried to over-throw the King. But they failed miserably. Trotsky and Lenin were very eloquent and were ahead of their time in developing propaganda techniques & political trickery that even 100 years later Bill Clinton and Barack Obama learned a lot from. But the problem was that the very people the Russian Communists were appealing to--- the rural peasants and city workers --- well, they were NOT buying their message. 5. Anyway. In 1917, it was the Provisional Liberal government that received a mandate to form a government -- not the Communists. But Communists, though a relatively small minority, were far more ORGANIZED and much more willing to use BRUTAL tactics.

6. And much like bacteria or virus who patiently wait for the host body's immune system to weaken before OPPORTUNISTICALLY pouncing.... Commies waited and then struck! Their revolution was without mercy. They murdered, displaced and starved to death MILLIONS of people over the next decade in attempt to consolidate power. Executed Nicholas and his entire famiy, as par for the course. And then Stalin came and took the whole Totalitarian Monster thing to a whole new unprecedented level....


In other words, the events in Egypt were VERY predictable. Because, you see, Totalitarian Beast --- whether it has a Communist, Nazi-Fascist OR Islamist face... is basically the same. Techonologies change over time, but the tyrants remain remarkably true to their vile natures.
