You sound like Glenn Beck. We need to put the blame where the blame is due and not be gatekeepers like so much of the mainstream media. This is a big part of the problem.

Although it might not sound like much, over time ending the tax cuts for the top 2% does add up. The Government must spend less and increase revenue (taxes). Although it isn't preferable to raise taxes during bad economic times this is the problem we face from too much Republican spending coupled with tax cuts. Now the only group able to absorb an increase in taxes is the group that has benefited the most from those cuts.

Maybe, but when spending through the roof is actually costing more than the entire countries income, taxes are NOT the problem.

Even raising everyone's income taxes to nearly fifty percent, it still would NOT offset the cost this administration is creating.

If you spend more than you earn, creditors take back what you can't afford. When Obama spends more than it receives, he creates class warfare.

Expenses: $2000 a year
Income: $1000 a year
Proposed increase in income: $80

Therefore in 10 years we'll make $800!

No.....in 10 years you'll be $9200 more in debt.

You have to cut expenses. It doesn't "add up" when you go slightly less into the hole. That kind of accounting would land a normal person in prison.

Obama is a Fiscal Conservative compared to Reagan and Bush W. Most of the debt we have is from old obligations. You don't just run up a credit card and hand it to someone else and say "look at all that money you spent." Clinton was the only President in resent memory that had a plan to pay down the debt. Obama is using that same formula and if given enough time it will pay off. Look at the past forty years and see who you should trust.

It is also math when Obama takes money he is borrowing to pay for wars and uses it for something else. It is still math, but when you borrow it, it is NOT saving any money. Stealing it from your children, grandchildren, and now great-grandchildren is NEVER a policy for growth!

You are only looking at one side. All options must be used. The only way to pay down the National debt is hold down costs until the economy recovers. Once the economy turns around revenue will increase enough to make a difference. To say we shouldn't try to increase revenue now is just being short sighted. Increase income and reduce spending to a reasonable level. Once the Economy rebounds use that income to pay down the debt. Don't do what Bush W. did and blow it all on tax cuts and Wars.

All Government spending cannot stop. You can only manage your spending. Governments must look ahead decades not just yearly. If you cut spending in the wrong place it could affect revenue down the road. The right kind of spending can increase monetary intake in the long term.

Clinton was president during the greatest increase of personal monetary growth in the history of the country, created by the dot.com industries. He couldn't fail, even though he tried. Newt forced Clinton to accept rules that brought about financial stability. Obama refuses to accept any financial stability because he thinks he is a genius, and knowing more than anyone else, all of which is a lie.

Then fine, look at the spending at the rate it is right now, compared to what it will be in ten years at the current rate. Base this on the fact that Obama claimed that it was all Bushes fault. Now that Obama can no longer use Bush as his punching bag, but only his own administration, how much is it going to cost the American Taxpayers to fix Obama's lack of responsibility?

Using these as a basis for future spending, in ten years time it will take at least twice the entire countries income to pay for one year of government services. You do the math.

If it was suppose to cost $800,000,000,000 to help start the economy from Bush, (where the unemployment was lower, costs were lower, expenses for domestic and foreign costs were lower) how much will of a financial package will it be to help start the economy from Obama?

I've been prepared for years. I'm out in Idaho and when SHTF, we are on our own. People pull together out here. Not a lot of "diversity" to go up in flames when the bread and circuses end.

I don't rely on the federal government, so I won't be impacted when they fall. I've got enough food to last a month or more (plus fat stores) and can always hunt or fish more. I've got a network of redneck friends and a few of them would benefit from a system collapse because then they could get off the pills and start living again.

Take a look at a county-by-county map of where Obama won and that's where the rioting will be. I'm nowhere near it. Anyone who is in one of these zones needs a bug-out plan.

They will let us go off the "cliff". Taxes will be raised on everyone, followed by a ramp-up of the ongoing tax revolt. It will become plain by late Spring that there is no political solution.

I don't see the collapse of the dollar as ushering in a "New World Order". I see it as the fall of the NWO. Likely they will try some distraction (attack on Iran, after a false-flag op) which will only get egg on their faces. Eventually, I see things settling down on a local level, with a return to a national manufacturing base instead of the globalist model.

It will be an interesting few years. I also have Canadian citizenship and that is an option as well.

Add to this the majority of the Feds printing to buy our own treasury bills - and to the banks - where is the help for the average citizen?
