Quoting: thinkingoutsidetherhombus Bad CGI aside, the premise of "I Am Legend" scared the crap out of me. That's a good one. What scared you most, the lonelyness? Or the Zombie like creatures? Both. The scene where he's huddled in the bathtub with his dog and his gun while the zombies scream outside was the worst. Still gives me the willies just thinking about it! That and when he finds the zombie nest in the dark building...shudder. I agree. Thanks for responding. No problem. Cool thread, BTW! I don't know where you get your delusions, laser brain. |

He was a fun good dad but a bit of a hard ass. We were stationed in Germany off base. We lived in a duplex with German landlords. The basement was off limits to me. Being a kid I had to know why. I kept getting in trouble. (I was 7) for going down there. My mom and dad said there was a monster down there. It didn't stop me. I kept going down there. Later dad hid under my bed and growled a while and grabbed my feet. Mom told me it was the basement monster. Being a hard headed 7year old I went looking for the monster weeks later. A few nights later my dad came busting in the front door (all 6'5" of him) bloody and screaming that the monster got him. Lol. My hero collapsed screaming in front of me all bloody and tore up. I have had a slight fear of dark basements ever since. I'm 37 and blame my dad every Christmas for my irrational fear. We laugh about it, but it haunts me to this day. That is all... |

She was hospitalized to be treated for cancer. She went in the ICU and was on a vent and declined quickly. The smell of blood from all the tubes stuck in her. The sounds of the machines. The support that friends and other family never gave me. The decisions. The call that she was dead. A year and a few months later and it haunts me. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6069405 My mom died of cancer too. Find some comfort in her dying quickly. There are unspeakable things you witness from watching a loved one die slowly from cancer. It took at least Five years to soften the horrible memories. They do soften and a point is reached when only good memories remain. Hang in there. |

He had a shoebox in the closet and he told me that it was a hand that could get me. Anonymous Coward User ID: 28631873 United States 12/04/2012 07:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 3 years ago my brother in law, who I adored, commited suicide. I will not go into details but it was very violent. Someone had to enter the room to gather clothes for the funeral director. I knew that my husband or his elderly parents could not do this so I did. The sight of the room has haunted me ever since. |
