You MUST be a Christian or other similar religion to be a Free-Mason

So for you experts at masonry that are not actual masons, how does this go against your theory of satanism in the craft. Do you think its just to save face, a way to sorta do damage control.

Apparently in order to be a mason, one must simply beleive in a supreme being. It does not specify which supreme being, so logically a satanist could possibly even be a mason.

Does this give one man too much power over the craft. Atleast for that state?

Freemasons will Accept anyone who is NOT an Atheist or a Muslim.

Not true, there are plenty of FreeMason who are Muslim, there are even many Muslim Knight Templars

I am a Freemason. In Florida. We just did an EA Degree about a month ago. The Candidate was a student at the local university, very nice, polite kid. He was Muslim.
We replaced the Bible on the Altar with his Qur'an. So that he could swear his obligation on the book of his faith.
I thought it was a very nice and noble gesture.

I went to a MM Degree over the summer at a neighbor Lodge. They were raising 3 Master Masons at once. Two were young Black Men, One was tattoo'd head to toe, and his name was Mohammed. I don't know if he was Muslim, but he swore his obligation on the Holy Bible with the others.

Things are a changing in the Craft. When I was raised in 98 there were no Black regular Masons. I am very glad to see diversity filling our ranks.

This is a Catholic rule, not a Masonic rule. There are plenty of Catholic Masons. I presume they don't advertise this at the church though.

Recently initiated a muslim as well. Even when he "first invoked the aide of his diety" He said a common islamic prayer they are taught in arabic. Thought that was pretty cool.
There are now plenty of black masons in Texas in the predominately white Grand Lodge. But alot of other coutries are tending to shy away from american free masonry because there is still plenty of racial division.

Like I said, I am in FL. I am not so sure how I feel about this communication from the Grand Master of FL...
Did you guys get a communication from your GL a few months back about not recognizing French Lodges anymore because they are allowing Women?

It was brought up before. That has been an ongoing issue for a while. It was never put out exactly whether recognition is with drawn or not. But my GL in not under any US Grand Lodge. So we dont typically go by most ancient landmarks suggested by Mackey.
However, it is typically known that a woman cannot be a mason. However the UGLE has said that Co-Masonry is "regular" in its acts just not "recognized"
