Comfortable weather, pure water, warm seas, plenty of fish and fruit, and from what I understand it was a matriarchal society ... there was plenty of leisure time for lovemaking, swimming, surfing and enjoyment of life as food was plentiful and the weather warm, no need for much shelter or clothing ... children were raised by all, love and generosity and spirituality were what life consisted of. Quoting: J-Honey --- your home is base, you are not homeless, and your home never changes. ---your place you choose never changes either ---you can go straight there and back, anytime you want....but no detours. ---Any place, any time period is possible. So? Where would it be? :twister2: I've traveled all over the world just because of my job, and I would go back to every single place I've been. I'm not sure if I have favorites! Every place has its own beauty, its own culture, its people. Each place is so very special. Each place is a learning experience, and I have beautiful memories. I have visited: Japan Australia France Netherlands Germany...lived there Korea China Greece Italy Belgium Italy Switzerland Austria Portugal Iceland Lichtenstein Kuwait Cancun Banff and Jasper, Canada Spent many days in many beautiful cities in the USA...a few I love: NYC Jersey Shore San Diego San Francisco San Antonio Los Angeles Santa Monica Key West...lived there South Carolina Salt Lake City, Utah and ski resorts Vail, Colorado Pittsburgh, PA Hawaii...Oahu, Big Island of Hawaii, Kauai, Maui BUT! There's no place like home. And if you have family....there's no place like being near family. You can visit anywhere....but family comes first. I wouldn't trade being near family for anything! My dad loved the Temperance River area (about 2 hours north of there). Whenever I go there, I feel more at home than I do here where I've lived for about 15 1/2 years. vaccinefreehealth blogspot com The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child. facebook.com/graphixyourway |

This guys teleports there (20s Paris I think) at midnight each night...... Check it out... Yeah i've seen it. I am a surrealist and Woody filmed my dream, thanks to him. I really like all those guys, Buñuel, Breton, Aragon, Éluard, Man Ray, etc. even Dali. To know means to know all. Not to know all means not to know. In order to know all, it is only necessary to know a little. But, in order to know this little, it is first necessary to know pretty much. G.I. Gurdjieff |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 801546 United States 12/04/2012 06:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Haha, Apollo, I can't say I blame him... My life isn't perfect, but if you think of all the great periods of time, and all the great people who lived.......I'm sure MOST of them would say they would rather be somewhere else if they had a choice.... Kind of like the grass is always greener on the other side, you know? Is it really though!? The beautiful thing about being a human being, unlike any other creature on this planet that we know of......we CAN go where we want, in our minds. That is why movies, novels, comics, hell even documentaries and autobiographies are so great. They give us a glimpse of what it was like, in someone ELSES shoes. I could think of dozens, perhaps hundreds, even thousands or places that would be better than here. Of course, how well would any of REALLY fit in, if we magically teleported to another time and place? Would we get home sick? Would the place ever really live up to our expectations? Perhaps.....perhaps not.... What if the borders between each and every one of us isn't as concrete as we think? What if, after we die, we get to experience whichever life we wish to, that any human has ever lived? Who knows? I would like to think that the time and place ones lives is merely the external circumstances of your reality. The external circumstances no doubt provides the cirriculim by which we experience, but I feel that more important than the time and place of a humans life, is how they REACT to their external environment. In other words, some of the great men that ever lived, perhaps would have made the same out of life, regardless of where and when they were born. That is just something to ponder. |

The banks of Lough Mask, Co Mayo, S. Ireland. Why? The west coast of Ireland is so unspoiled and an area of such natural beauty. The people are so friendly and folk don't have to lock their cars or even their front doors at night. I spent many good times there with my best friend. His ashes were scattered on the lough. Maybe i would visit 'Art O'Neils' in Balinrobe and savour one more pint of guinness and reflect on the good times we had... i spent most of my money on fast cars, booze and women, the rest i just squandered… |
