nutmeg User ID: 27310787 United States 12/04/2012 06:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Where hubby & I spent our 1st & 2nd honeymoon. My dad loved the Temperance River area (about 2 hours north of there). Whenever I go there, I feel more at home than I do here where I've lived for about 15 1/2 years. I know what you mean. I felt more at home where one of my daughters went to college than anywhere else I've been, and it's about 900 miles from where I live. I must have lived there in another life, and it must have been good. Last Edited by nutmeg on 12/04/2012 06:50 PM |

Quoting: J-Honey Oh, we've been there, we'll be there, we are everywhere To know means to know all. Not to know all means not to know. In order to know all, it is only necessary to know a little. But, in order to know this little, it is first necessary to know pretty much. G.I. Gurdjieff |

Some call it "the Source", others "the Collective". Now, according to your rules, I couldn't go anywhere from there...but I would be able to experience everything that existence has to offer from there. Not sure if you saw my post, OP. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 801546 My life isn't perfect, but if you think of all the great periods of time, and all the great people who lived.......I'm sure MOST of them would say they would rather be somewhere else if they had a choice.... Kind of like the grass is always greener on the other side, you know? Is it really though!? The beautiful thing about being a human being, unlike any other creature on this planet that we know of......we CAN go where we want, in our minds. That is why movies, novels, comics, hell even documentaries and autobiographies are so great. They give us a glimpse of what it was like, in someone ELSES shoes. I could think of dozens, perhaps hundreds, even thousands or places that would be better than here. Of course, how well would any of REALLY fit in, if we magically teleported to another time and place? Would we get home sick? Would the place ever really live up to our expectations? Perhaps.....perhaps not.... What if the borders between each and every one of us isn't as concrete as we think? What if, after we die, we get to experience whichever life we wish to, that any human has ever lived? Who knows? I would like to think that the time and place ones lives is merely the external circumstances of your reality. The external circumstances no doubt provides the cirriculim by which we experience, but I feel that more important than the time and place of a humans life, is how they REACT to their external environment. In other words, some of the great men that ever lived, perhaps would have made the same out of life, regardless of where and when they were born. That is just something to ponder. Friend, Ive gotten more out of this post than you can imagine.... =) Ive had in my life a opportunity for a country mouse city mouse experience, One day Ill share you my story..=) |

The journey would take 10 days so I would need get going soon so I could come back here and post my observances. Doom or no doom out of so many trips back over 650,000 years. I'd be tempted to stay in one of them if it weren't for the Sabertooths. |

Comfortable weather, pure water, warm seas, plenty of fish and fruit, and from what I understand it was a matriarchal society ... there was plenty of leisure time for lovemaking, swimming, surfing and enjoyment of life as food was plentiful and the weather warm, no need for much shelter or clothing ... children were raised by all, love and generosity and spirituality were what life consisted of. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5542489 Sorta how life was meant to be on planet Earth ... Don't forget the cannibalism and the violence here.
