Message Subject US Gov Draft? Our 19 yr old son just got a letter from the Fed Gov 'Selective Service System'

Its a law that all 18 year olds MUST register with the selective service BUT there is a way to make sure he doesn't get drafted.

Have him fill out the card & then across the middle write "Conscientious objector" across the middle in capital letters.

Get 3 high quality copies made.

Send one in the form a certified copy, return receipt requested to the office. They have a tendency to "lose" those kind of cards.

Send one to yourself, don't open it.

Have another one for your file & put the one you send to yourself in there along with the receipt you get from the selective service.

If they pull his name, they will see the objector status on there & he'll be passed over or they'll keep him stateside for menial tasks.

This is what we did for my son & he hasn't been bothered at all, even the recruiters quit calling him.

These should be the first to be sent over, and the ones who "check" tunnels, buildings, and other hiding spots.

First to go in, first to come back in a box.

Right, they also like drafting boys whose parents do this:

"The only paperwork I did receive was for him to not be contacted at all by the US army, navy, air force for recruitment via cell or house phone. I signed that one immediately."

Since they put themselves on the Do Not Call list, the Army doesn't have to deal with the parents ever again, even if their kid is drafted and dies. They can read about it in the news with everyone else, or if they're not that observant, they'll figure out something is wrong when it dawns on them he should have been home from the war by now.
