Anonymous Coward User ID: 29031952 United States 12/04/2012 08:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There are lots of very smart people on GLP, and I need your help. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5676214 I used to eat anything and everything, but over the past few years I've developed an allergy to all meat, plus other stuff. When I eat meat, I get Atrial Fibrilation. I've also experienced tachycardia and PVC's along the way. I'm pretty sure that my stomach is the key to the whole thing because it's really messed up. I was taking Flecainide but had to stop because it hurt my stomach so much. So what's going on with me? Is there anything I can do to stop it or even help it. I'm really getting tired of eating eggs and bland vegetables to avoid the worst of Afib. 65 yo, 210lb, male DO a food antibody assessment to find what foods are dangerous for you to eat ; what food are good for you to eat and what foods are neutral to eat... It is about 1000 dollars but insurance will pay a good portion of it. Its formal name is: IgG Food Antibody Assessment |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29085920 supermarket/feedlot meats? organic grass fed? or is it any type of meat? just considering the possibility that its not the meat-but the chemicals the animals youre eating are exposed to causing this reaction. Normally just regular outlet stuff. I got some grass fed beef from the health food store and had major afib after eating just a portion of a hamburger patty. I also bought ground bison but was afraid to try it. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 5676214 United States 12/04/2012 09:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nope. The problem seems to be with my stomach itself, and not my intestines. But I could be wrong. Is Afib ever associated with Chron's? I'm thinking that the Vegus nerve is irritated from my stomach and sets off my heart. Even in ice cold drink will cause my heart to pound for a few minutes. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 5676214 United States 12/04/2012 09:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ginger is a very strong blood thinner. With the heart issues he describes and the fact he refers to prescriptions he's probably already on medication for his heart and/or blood pressure and a strong blood thinner could upset the mix potentially. ACtually, this has caused me to lose 60 lbs and my bp is now great, without any Rx. I'm only taking Nattokinase and baby aspirin for a blood thinner to hopefully avoid a stroke. At the beginning I was on coumadin, but then they put me on prodaxa at $270 a month and I quit and went back to the Nattokinase and a baby aspirin. I see the ads on tv about how many people died taking prodaxa. Ginger might be consider, but maybe a lower dose. |

Worse night/day? Yes, gallbladder is in tact. never been operated on. I only take food supplements and Flecainide when desparate. I'm taking iodine, cinnamon, b vits, turmeric & bromelain, chromium picolinate, mag orotate, some D3 thrown in. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, but I think it's because my stomach just isn't working right. Plus, My diet really isn't good now that I have limited my food intake so much. I recently switched away from all sodas and to water or club soda. |
