(Just an idea) Quoting: CeeLite I was going to a chiropractor that was adjusting me while I held the essense of the things that I was allergic to, but it didn't help at all. basic hokum. Chiros are for disc issues. Adjustments all are focused on aligning the spine and alleviating pressure of exiting nerve roots. Chiro adjustments and diet could help with that sort of thing but not likely yours unless nerve entrapment was at the root of one or more of your symptoms. |

I was going to a great chiropractor who also was trained in NAET, an allergy elimination technique. [link to www.naet.com] But the NAET part was hokum. She was great on just fixing my back. Nice rack too. |

But I could be wrong. Is Afib ever associated with Chron's? I'm thinking that the Vegus nerve is irritated from my stomach and sets off my heart. Even in ice cold drink will cause my heart to pound for a few minutes. Just a dummy here but have you thought of a hernia or aneuysm? |

It was postulated that if, say, you ate a lot of GMO soy you might have gut bacteria with GMO soy parts incorporated into them and that that would make them no longer digest soy. Other things like wheat sensitivity could be similar perhaps. Maybe yours. I can't find the link but it was in MSM today. |

I was on the Atkins diet for 3 or 4 years. Not successful, but I ate a LOT of beef and bacon. Also....I drank Diet Dr Pepper for about 10 or more years..with aspartame. Either might play into this. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 5676214 United States 12/04/2012 11:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have the same problems as far as A-fib I have had this even since a child. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22054163 I also had excessive sweating over heating body tempt. Quiet a bit of things there but I ignored them all. It was an endocrine problem. And there are endocrinologists. Good point. The problem seems to be getting even one good doctor that can refer or point the way, and now I've fallen into the cravas of medicare or VA, neither of which inspire confidence. Especially VA. I've had 2 cardiologist and both were useless or worse. |

I'm eating more fruit and veggies than every before. |

It changes everything; all the good bacteria in your gut and your immune system goes caput. I've never been the same and it sucks the big weenie. Too bad pot is illegal. I'm a nursing student. My conclusion is that the fats in your duodenuem havent been properly emulsified so the fat never gets fully digested by the lipase enzymes. The large chunks of fat go into your bloodstream (supposed to go into lymph) and causes the PVC and heart complications. Drinking is so bad for us. I wish that it were illegal. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5676214 I used to eat anything and everything, but over the past few years I've developed an allergy to all meat, plus other stuff. When I eat meat, I get Atrial Fibrilation. I've also experienced tachycardia and PVC's along the way. I'm pretty sure that my stomach is the key to the whole thing because it's really messed up. I was taking Flecainide but had to stop because it hurt my stomach so much. So what's going on with me? Is there anything I can do to stop it or even help it. I'm really getting tired of eating eggs and bland vegetables to avoid the worst of Afib. 65 yo, 210lb, male You probably already did a lot to stop it if you stopped the drug that can cause all your symptoms. [link to www.drugs.com] My first cardiologist put me on flecainide because I already had Afib and heart blockages. I don't know if PVCs were a problem then. The last cardiologist had me up to 300 mg flec a day and put me on something else that nearly killed me. He made himself unobtainable for over a week, and I put myself back on flec and worked my way back down. Now I take Flec only when my afib gets so bad that I can't stand it and on the order of 12 to 50gm. Just enough to get me back into some tolerable sinus rhythm. I don't think that cardiologists have the answer for me. It's either just take the pill or how about some surgery? They're used to losing patients but have more patients than they can see, so it's not a problem getting new patients for them. |
