At a time when there are those who do not fully understand the necessity of owning and knowing how to use a

Gun for protection;

What made me aware and want to own a gun and learn how to use a gun ; take a gun safety class...

As a young woman of 25 I was faced with possible abduction and who knows what else at the hands of a gang.

I worked as an RN at night in this small strange town for a few years.

This town was filled with a strange mixture of migrant farm workers, red necks, farmers, cattle ranchers, wealthy retired military, college students, cultists...

At 25 I was not as aware of how evil this world is as I am today.
I entered the super grocery store late in the afternoon to do some food shopping and other shopping....

I had been in the store only about a half an hour when 3 hispanic women started talking to me in a language I did not understand...they seemed angry at me and started cussing ( I knew a few words from working the local hospital).
I tried my best to ignore them and go about my business but this made them even more angry.

After about 10 minutes of continued shopping and having them follow me around down the grocery isle..I turned to the lead one and said..."Excuse me, but I don't even know you , what do you want, I don't understand your language...why are you so angry at me?"

(I knew really they were trying very hard to pick a fight with an attractive young blonde white woman who they thought was wealthy but was just a poor RN , in reality....)

The heavy set leader tried to grab at my arm and this is when it stopped and started for the exit door...

I weaved in and out of isles trying to loose them but they found me and were in hot pursuit...

I tried to look for some help and saw a deli counter worker and quickly told them I was being harassed by some women and could she please overheard intercom the manager and some males...

This never happened for some reason ( my memory evades me here)...

SO, I continued to try and lose them...

I found a back exit door and went though it to safety...

I quickly got into my car but saw, in the distance, a group of about 4 hispanic males waiting in a car...

I wondered if these were associated with the nasty females inside the store...

I safely drove away but did not return to my apartment for 3 days ; but drove home 60 miles to my parents home and stayed there.

I realized this might have been an attempt at a gangland style initiation or kidnap ....


I soon moved from that town and found another job....


Today , I realize having protection in this evil world is important

especially if you are a single female living in a big city.
