The Rosicrucians have a book on Lemuria, derived from texts given to them centuries ago by some ancient Chinese secret society. (Notice how much science and history was given to the west by the Chinese?)

It is called: "Lemuria: The Lost Continent Of The Pacific", by W. S. Cervé, and I believe it is the central info source for ALL other, non-channelled info on Lemuria.

There are several researchers who postulate Atlantis as being on Antarctica, including Rand Flem-Ath. Some interesting data is used to back up their hypothesis too.

Actually, Oceania is what's left of Lemuria. Funny thing is, like it's successor Atlantis, it also sank to the bottom of the ocean, leaving behind only small islands.

Nice opening post, but some people should once and for all get used to the idea it is not called Lumeria (or any of its derivatives) but Lemuria. Remember the Lemurians of Madagascar ? They got their name from it.

Do you believe Lemuria has "migrated" ? This is not consistent with the classic opinion which holds that it was destroyed by volcanic activity. Granted, Lemuria seemingly having been a huge continent looking much like a belt spanning almost the whole of earth's circumference, it would stand to reason Australia could in some way have been geologically connected with it.

The lost continent going onder the name of Lemuria apparently reached almost up to the location where today's South-America is situated. Africa didn't exist at the time except maybe for some relatively small islands (this is according to the theories of theosophists and described in Scott-Elliot's book about Lemuria).

The author, Ruth Montgomery, has written some fascinating accounts of Lemuria and Atlantis. If these are actually true accounts of ancient history, we are in for some exciting times ahead. I just received a copy of her "A World Beyond" written in 1971, and am anxious to start reading.

You might also check out the 4 maps going with Scott-Elliot's books about Atlantis and Lemuria. They purportedly show different stages in the formation and destruction of Lemuria and Atlantis over a time span of about 5 million years, and ending with the most recent catastrophe 80,000 years ago which Plato spoke about, and which caused the last remnant of Atlantis, the island Poseidonia (or Poseidonis) to sink.

I found an article today mentioning an island just west of the Strait of Gibraltar (which would very much fit Plato's description of the right location) which apparently was 40 m higher 12,000 years ago... this is a beacon, to me. It was found in 2005. Google for it, I have no other clues at this moment.
