You people are idiots. As soon as you put something on the curb, you release ownership of that item and it is legally abandonded property and 'garbage' at that point. It is not illegal to take someone's garbage. This includes taking cans, toys, magazines, broken appliances/scrap metal, etc.

I don't know what's wrong with you people, the guy just wanted a perfectly good bike to use or to refurbish and sell. Where does the crime come in?
