It takes a special kind of person to be selfish with the things they are already throwing away.

I haven't seen ANYONE here suggest they should be THANKED for taking someones elses trash. In fact, most people who dumpster dive are embarrassed that they have to. As if the shame isn't enough, you have rude assholes who would actually CALL THE COPS on people too poor to afford new or even used stuff. I dated a girl who came from a poor family. Her and her brother would dumpster dive. Not from residentials, but from businesses. What surprised me was how awesome a lot of the stuff they got was.
