I also live in PA and theres always an abundance of year rounds including robins, cardinals, catbirds, crows and gobs of small birds like finches, wrens and buntings. (Most of them appear in my yard all winter.) The only bird that never goes anywhere and should is the Canada goose. I havent noticed anything unusual in bird activity. |

I live near Syracuse, and I can tell you first hand bird watching in the winter is just as active as in the summer. How anyone can reach adulthood and think birds vanish in winter blows my mind.
