Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 23524705 United States 12/05/2012 11:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm a very hard worker, I have my own serious chainsaws (four of them) and I want a job clearing land for the oil pipe. The keystone XL etc. I have logging experience, and I'm good at all temp. and weather conditions. I want to do this to make some money. Anyone else do this kind of thing, or have any ideas. I'm also open to the idea of logging in other areas, but primarily I wan't to be involved energy infrastructure development. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23524705 Nothing eh? |

In the case that we don't the oil company hires a private compnay to salvage the timber / brush. If you know what oil companies are doing work, contact them and try to get them to take a look at you. |

NO LOGGERS REQUIRED!! Those big machines just need a single operator to work and can clear a mile or two of heavily wooded solid forest with HUGE trees in it per day. (they are NOT cutting up the trees to send to a lumber mill or for firewood, they are just looking to CLEAR them) Go out on YouTube to see them in action. Pretty amazing. The power companies use them all the time across the Appalachian areas for putting in the big power lines and it is amazing to watch them in action going up and down mountains and through heavy woods (with the bulldozers coming behind them to rip out the stumps). |

Keep going back day after day, someone will miss work and you will get the job. be ready to go work every time you show up, lunch & gloves in hand. I drove a truck for pipeline Co. for a few years. |

Yeah, I realize that there are contracting companies working along side the larger oil/pipe corps. doing the work like that. I'm making a couple lists of oil/pipe companies, and contracting companies that provide support. |

I'm a contractor and I determine the clearance and how and which trees/vegetation should be removed or mitigated. You can submit your information to the utility/pipeline companies, but that's a long shot. Your best bet would be contacting an environmental company that deals with wetlands/mapping/vegetation for the initial work. See which environmental companies work with pipelines or transmission lines and contact them. |

Expanding our capacity to sell Canadian oil to China is critical in terms of the coming war with Iran. Currently china receives something like 1/3rd of its oil from Iran, if we were to level Iran, China would instantly have a bad day. Unless of course we can make up the demand. The pipelines are going to be built. |
