'None of you believe in Santa do you?': Fury as teacher tells her class of five-year-olds that Santa is not real
Breaking the news to the kids during a lesson on real and imaginary things, the teacher asked her class to go home to mom and dad and confront them and ask to be told 'the truth.'

...

The parents of Aven Tietz Gammage are furious, saying that last week their little girl came home with a question they were not prepared for.

'Is Santa real?' 'Because Mrs. Fuller said he wasn't real,' said Aven, according to her mother, Susan Tietz Gammage.

'She said, 'None of you believe in Santa do you? and said that you buy all our presents and put them under the tree.

'She said you should tell us the truth.'

should send the kids back with a loaded question.
Is god real?
if she says yes, nail her for non separation of church and state.
if she says no, nail her for denying families religious beliefs

As if they care.

Better to ask her if Allah is real.

That might get a few people worked up.

well, parents do buy the presents and then lie to their kids that someone else did that. parents know that santa is a lie. everyone knows this. santa is not a religion or even part of Christianity. it really is not good to lie to kids when you know for sure the person does not exist.

therefore the teacher saying santa is not real is a half lie.

Lies are not fun. And kids can look forward to Christmas by getting presents from their parents. Not an imaginary person.

Clearly the teacher should not be teaching 5 yr olds. She is just a jealous hateful spiteful bitch who wants to bring every one down because she has nothing to hope or wish for. Leave the kids alone Bitch! She is not the one to tell them anything about Santa..just do her job and teach reading, writing and math..leave the parenting to the parents and quit being a spiteful bitch....or go work with teens who will treat you with the respect that you don't deserve.

If santa isn't real, then why does he have so many t.v. shows?
T.V says he's real. which should i believe? T.V has many channels where santa is on. so teacher must be wrong.

Children come equipt with creativety and imagination. We don't need to lie to them. If anything it destroys their imagination and creativity to have their parents tell them lies about reality.

Bullshit. It is lying to your children. They are people. When you lead them on a years long LIE it devastates their image of you and their own morality. How do I know? I specifically remember learning that Santa was a lie and being furious at my folks for tricking me. When I confronted them they just smirked. I hated them for it. Parents who lie to their children suck and it sets a horrible precedent.

My 5 year old flat out asked me and I said no wants is not real. Never once did I play that game. But niether did we say anything about it. They got enough of the bullshit from school. My boy was empowered with the truth and he was pleased with me for being honest. It taught him to always tell the truth no matter what.

Good every parent and teacher should do the same.

Because Satan Claus never sleeps.

Let's keep The Light of the World in Christmas

Besides the concept of Santa Claus is actually celebrated everywhere as December 6 because this is Nicholas' name day.

Children are supposed to clean their shoes so that St. Nicholas can put a little chocolate or oranges.

Re: 'None of you believe in Santa do you?': Fury as teacher tells her class of five-year-olds that Santa is not real
"santa" IS real: Dutch settler kids in the 1700s would get treats and coins in their shoes on St. Nicholas day, Dec 6th. Other kids asked who brought them. They'd reply "Sankt Niklas". Say that real fast and you get santa claus. The red outfit was after the red outfit bishops in that day wore. He was a bishop in medievel times who heard three sisters crying that they could never marry because their dad was too poor to provide a dowry. He felt bad and got some gold coins from the last collection and filled three bags with money. He left it in the wooden clogs outside the door that they slipped on to walk in the muddy streets.

I also had a dilemna when my 4 kids were little. They wanted to know did santa like rich kids better since they got more gifts and they sometimes only got one on st. Nicks feastday and at Christmas, why do WE get gifts, when its baby Jesus birthday...shouldnt He get the presents. Here was my expanation:

THey knew the above true story. I told them the love and happiness you feel at Christmas is exactly because its Jesus birthday. He is in Heaven and so is st. Nicholas. They both loved us and want us also to be happy so IN SPIRIT they inspire our moms and dads to show that love by buying or making gifts for their loved ones. Rich families give more because they have more. Our family made alot of gifts because we werent cash wealthy but we showed each other alot of extra love, and no family is limited in that ability by amount. We even gave the birds the tree when it was done, filled with treats and gave to all less fortunate of our time wrapping gifts for them and so on. Jesus in His bountifull love for us shows us on this day and in this season what Christians should do EVERY DAY of their lives...wouldnt that be great.
But there is a socialist adgenda afoot to twist out of childrens minds the fanciful, imaginative, creative talent of childhood with its rainbow of dreams and paint our lives with the gray cement of the harsh reality of life. Imagination is a step towards faith and love and there is no place for these in their coming world. Get rid of Sants and the Easter Bunny, get rid of Faith and God and Religion, get rid of the parents and all you have left are good little workers for the state...

You clearly have deep issues if you were furious with and went on to hate your parents because they let you believe in Santa....

Most of us normal, well-adjusted people believed in Santa as well, and remember it as a magical and wonderful time in our childhood lives that we wouldn't trade for anything.

Believing in fairy tales as a child, when your supposed to, and then learning the truth as you get older is NOT harmful; it is merely part of growing up. The VAST majority of us went through this process with no trust issues and no regrets.
