The Mosaic Law included the following provision for dealing with a disobedient son: “His father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard.’ Then all the men of the town shall stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you” (Deuteronomy 21:19–21)
Quoting: New Age Messiah old testament, so it doesnt count. funny how that works huh? yup. Every word of God 'counts' (Matt. 4:4), Old Testament and New Testament. Old Testament violence demonstrates the wrath of a Holy God against evil, which wrath was visited upon all evil whether Israelite or heathen. Jesus Christ gave man the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, making the weapons of those who battle against evil no longer carnal (2 Cor. 10:4). I have made the earth, and created man upon it (Isa. 45:12)
Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? (Matt. 20:15)
