Sure it is. The government is about to recover all that disposable income we were enjoying.

Re: Welcome to the Fiscal Cliff. Just received this notice from payroll dept...
I went to my local Wal*Mart Supercenter last night. The parking lot was 3/4 empty. There was an unusually small number of people shopping. They have removed some of the shelves and widened the aisles. What is left is poorly stocked. I went specifically to get dogfood. The kind I usually get was completely out-of-stock as were several other brands and of the ones that were in stock, there were only a few bags of each. There was lots of empty space all over the store.

I suggest everyone get some high top rubber boots because we're about to be in deep doo-doo!

You know what to do right? Start getting paid cash under the table and tell the government to go fuck themselves and buy their own way out of debt.

Now everyone, take a breath and a step back.

The politicians on both sides are going to play this in order to work you all up and then at the last minute will work something out to make themselves look grand.

It's just a shell game inside a dog and pony show.

When these idiots who voted for Obama (the ones with jobs & college students) get their checks in January & proceed to whine, I plan to rub their noses in it as hard as I can.

No sympathy!

Part of the Bush cuts included Earned Income Exemption where you can not work at all and still get a check from the gubm'nt.

Yeah, the termination of that program will go over real well.

Where else can you be lazy and sit around all day and still get a check for thousands of dollars from your Dear Leader and his stooges?
