Be glad at 43 she didn't chop off all her hair like a lot of us (not me) women do? Hair grows. She will probably tire of the bangs and grow them out. If you are smart (and I am really doubting that you are) you will shut up and say "I am no judge of women's hairstyles. If it makes you happy then I am happy". The End.

I don't get it...a WOMAN will tell another woman to get "a nice short haircut"....total bull! Well OP, my wife lost all of her hair last year to cancer. Now since it grew back, she keeps short, kinda like the old Jamie Lee Curtis look. I tell her I love her hair short, simply because I love her. When I looked at her when she was bald, I didn't notice "no hair", because thats what love is. Are you really in love with her?

For what its worth..

When I first saw this, I thought--isn't it obvious? Be NICE. In reading the responses..I got an education. I didn't know..seriously..that men cared if their spouse's hair was long or short--so long as it looked presentable. There was an episode on the Duggar family awhile back where his wife, who normally has long (and in my opinion..stringy) hair-got a few inches cut off. Not--short; just..kind of cleaned up with a little shaping--still pretty long. I thought her husband was going to cry when he saw it! She did everything she could to put it back the way it was..and reminded him that it will grow back, but still..? Isn't it just--hair?!

Because of the shape of my face..I've kept mine just above my jaw line.

Maybe I should grow it out?

I used to spend a lot of time in restaraunts, usually working, sometimes as a customer.

I can't count the times I've seen women (mostly those with longer hair) get monkey-ass drunk, then stretch over the table to hug an acquaintance... in the preocess, dragging their hair over an open top, lit candle and there they stand - hair ablaze - trying to comprehend WTF is happening to them...

Then there's the beat-down and floor roll, the screaming...

And the smell of styling products in burning hair is not pleasant, I can tell you.
