...pick up & read a copy of The Emerald Tablets of Thoth.

These "emerald tablets" have been tested to be chemically created and to withstand all the forces of nature -- and they have cuneform (?) writing on them.

What pulled me in was the question, "What's so important to write that it has to be written on chemically created stone tablets that'll last through fire, floods, and natural erosion?"

Then I read it.
