This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard all week. Marijuana does not cure cancer. Yea it's a plant. Yea it should be legal. Yea its not physically addictive. But no, it does not cure cancer. I'm sick of people acting like it's some kind of medical panacea that can cure everything like a wonder drug. I'm a believer in traditional Chinese medicine, and chronic marijuana use has many adverse affects. Very occasional use has some mental benefits, but there is nothing it can cure. They had the most complex and complete understanding of the human body that any culture has ever had, and if marijuana could cure cancer, believe me, they would have realized it.

We now have everyone going overboard with the legalization argument. I don't believe we have to pretend marijuana has health benefits to legalize it. I think it should just be legal because this is supposed to be a free country. But I'm not under any delusions that it cures cancer. There's plenty of alternative, non-chemo cures of cancer that work, such a acupuncture and herbs (formulated by a medical doctor with years of training). This is why acupuncture gets a bad rap. Now I remember why I hate hippies.
