Here in pennsylvania we had one of the coldest Novembers on record. The experts predict a colder winter then last year.

We'll have to see if they're right.

Here in Finland it's been way too "warm" considering the time of the year. The last few days have been the first this winter when the temperature has gone below -10 Celsius (+14 Fahrenheit). Typical for this time of the year, based on my personal experience of 40 years, would be around -20 Celsius. While that -10 C isn't exactly "warm", it's still a lot more than we've accustomed to over here.

My goodness... really?? We are in December... its supposed to be long nights and short days in the northern hemisphere.. Yes the apparent E.O.D is coming but really??? It's winter..it happens every year in varying degrees..

I remember as a kid we'd already have 4-5ft of snow already, and a few -35 celcius days... The winter's now aren't anywhere what they used to be and yes.. by 5pm you'd swear it was already 11pm

just 4.30 PM and its darkness? the sun sets in about this time in most location in the middle of US so its not supposed to be darkness at all.

In the UK is doesn't get light until after 8am and it is dark before 4pm
