I have been observing Orangish/Reddish moon since the last 4-5 days continuously. Why is no GLPer reporting it?

Sign of something significant coming our way?

Rofl. Thats a harvest moon, often seen in fall.

More prevalent in areas that have air pollution, and more noticeable the closer the moon is to the horizon.

Probably for the same reason that nobody seems to notice the different colours in sunsets nowadays - sunsets that I definitely remember were NOT like that a year ago.

FWIW OP, I have noticed the red moon, you are not alone.

Ahh that makes it confusing then, because it is winter here in the UK and I have also seen the same colour moon in the summer, back in August........

It originates from dust in the atmosphere - as the moonlight shines through it takes on the tint of the sky.

Common in fall when harvesting (which kicks up dust), or in areas with pollution, and can happen whenever.

Best one I've seen is during heavy forest fires.
