People are more greedy. They are more aggressive too.

Its fifty fackin degrees in WA state.. Very VERY uncommon.. Hardly any lights out, no Xmas trees up (yet) and no one I talk to is doing Xmas shoppin this year.. Everyone is BROKE .. Well, the people I know who have jobs are broke.. The unemployed seem to be doing VERY well for themselves tho ...

Everyone I know is just buying presents just for kids this year. Nothing for adults. Everyone one I know is broke. Boots are a luxury. :-)

There's a different ambiance in the air. I havent heard much Christmas music or too many special shows on the tele.

Yes they are. Old boots are just fine.

Reindeer and elf ears for cars. They are attached to the top part of doors/windows on either side.

Also lots of people buying food gift baskets to give out.

yeah even in my rural area I've seen a lot of reindeer antlers on cars and a big red nose/ball on the grill

I've noticed that the advertisers aren't trying to guilt you into buying that diamond necklace or expensive car or big ticket idem like in previous years.

I am noticing how much Christmas spirit I have. It has been 5 years since I even had a tree up. Lots to be grateful for, and lots to celebrate. I may be coming out of my funk finally. I have a an awesome new love, we have been together for a year now, if you count our first 6 months talking everyday on GLP....things are more perfect then ever.

I'm perplexed people are still celebrating this pagan day. People don't ask questions anymore, just follow what everyone else is doing straight to hell.

Yeah thats pretty awesome lol. But mainly I notice that familys are really getting more distant and like others have said no one hardly has the money to buy as many presents as they did years ago. So like everything else Christmas is getting a downgrade. Not to change the subject but I notice all the holidays this year feel like they mean nothing. I usually care alot about halloween and this year I just went to bed early and didnt even give a shit.

seems like it wouldnt be comfortable walking around in those things all day at the office. maybe they are more comfortable than they appear.
