B4 I read your post I was gonna flame ya......I drink Box-O-Wine for $15.98 for 5 liters. But he deserves a good one for his hospitality- that's for sure. It's good to have family. Merry Christmas! |

I buy often as gifts and always get shown the love from the giftees. I don't actually drink wine either. Anything from [link to www.redzeppelinwinery.com] has also been a hit and for Syrah go to [link to www.mccleanvineyard.com] which as I am to understand is the best in world. Hope that helps:) |

They are both around $3.00 yes three dollars per bottle. I bought one to cook with and decided to try it and have never looked back. The chardonnay is even better as it warms up about ten minutes out of the fridge. They have also won several awards- look it up. IMHO these are the best for the buck, beats many of the $40+ bottles easily. |

They have people there that are knowledgeable about wine and won't steer you wrong, and you won't have to spend a ton to give a respectable gift. |

Quoting: anon 1575004 I like Old Zins and Malbecs. One can find some really good wines (90+ points) at a decent price point of $15 or so. Only problem for NY state and Long Island, cannot sell wine in Trader Joes, the best they in Long Island/NY metro area (Trader Joes in Long Island/NY area) (by legality) is Beer, and that's it.. |

For something really special in red look for Chilean Castello De Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon. 2009 was an excellent year. For a white try a Pouilly Fuissé from Macon in France. You should be able to get either for well under $40. |

This is an amazing bottle of wine...ALWAYS. They go from $30 a bottle on up...depending on year.
