Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9718093 I was busy getting stuff out of my car and didn't look up, but told her it was right over Mrs.-----'s house. Her answer was that it wasn't. So I looked, expecting to point it out, but she was right--it wasn't there. It was quite a bit further north and higher up than it was just a couple of nights before when my son and I were looking at it. I had to really look to find it. I don't know how it could've moved that far so fast, but I'm telling you exactly what happened. Do you people not understand that Earth rotates? Do you honestly believe they do not? I can't tell which is worse. Say hi to Shepard for me! Then why don't they seem to realize that Orion will be in a different part of the sky during the same night just a couple hours later or earlier? |

Their rising times is what changes with the seasons. Hmm, LOL The constellations that you see in the Northern Hemisphere's winter sky—Orion, Taurus, Canis Major, and others—gradually move westward with time, rising above the eastern horizon approximately four minutes earlier each evening. By late spring and early summer, the winter constellations are on the western horizon in the early evening and Leo, Bootes, Cygnus, and Sagittarius dominates the night sky. In the fall, Pegasus, Aquila, and Lyra brighten the heavens. A number of polar constellations (Cephus, Cassiopeia, and Ursa Minor in the north and Crux, Centaurus, and Pavo in the south) are visible all year as they rotate about points directly above the North and South Poles. The constellations don't rise at differing locations on the horizon as the seasons progress- they rise earlier. He is talking about Orion's "normal rising spot", as he says in the vid description. |

All he said was that Orion's usual position was off. We know what he said. If Earth's axis suddenly shifted 25 degrees there would be MASSIVE ramifications. There would certainly be no internet and most of Earth's population would be dead. Then it does not necessarily have to be earth's axis, now----wouldn't it? Could be one of a dozen things. 1) Could be an increase in the vibrational level of our reality, making us ready for some sort of "ascension" of some sort. 2) Could also be a combination of that AND an axis problem. 3) Could also be like the guy from Finland said early in the thread-----our reality is shifting and changing and it may accelretae by Dec 21. 4) The Finnish guy also said that if it WAS an axis problem, EVRYTHING would be off kilter by now. So yes, you and he may have a point. 5) Just because it is is not an obvious axis problem does not mean soemthing is not happening here that earth-shaking and history-making. Some are being too literal and "obvious" here. Just saying. |
