It's like that "South Park" episode, where old fogies are driving around, crashing into stuff, and mowing-down people at farmer's markets!

Acctually older people are safer drivers according to statistics.

but when you put the two together they shouldn't be driving

How can that be when they are continually implicated in car/truck-related Holocausts?

Also, reversing at immense speed, or crashing through garage doors and into houses, because they mistook the accelerator for the brake pedal ?

My mother made my dad give up driving last year, when he ploughed into a piece of street-furniture.

He was 86 at the time.

that statistic is falls as older people usually drive 10 under the speed limit and ether cause other drivers to rear end them or make a lane change risking them to swerve off the road in bad weather conditions. Older drivers past the age 50 should have to take a Drivers test ever 5 years and after the age 70 should have to take a drivers test every 2 years. They literally forget the rules of the road like you cant turn left on a red light or forget to signal or drive threw an intersection at 5km an hour. Their minds are slower their reaction time is slower their actions are slower.

Yep. And if you have an under 25 male living under your roof, your insurance rates go through the roof even if the child does not own a vehicle. Insurance companies assume they will at some time operate your (parents) automobiles. I raised two boys and my insurance rates were terrible back in the 80's.

I know a 30 year old chick who ran over her leg and had to have surgery.

Girl drivers are even worse, but they drive far less than do boys, so to the insurance company girls are safer to insure.
