Quoting: Just Some Guy Remember just yesterday they said they would take action if Assad used chemical weapons? Well, here it is. [link to worldnews.nbcnews.com] Yet more propaganda about Syria. Which country constantly bangs on about chemical weapons fanatically?? USA!! (Also the only country to actually use one)What chemical weapon did we use Limey? He probably meant the US is the only country to ever use nuclear weapons against another country... TWICE. Talk about psychopaths. As for the US using chemical weapons they have historically used chemical weapons in WWI, WWII, Vietnam and probably more we don't hear about. Napalm, phosphorous, even agent orange can easily be considered a chemical weapon. As of now, the US uses depleted Uranium shells that litter the landscape of Iraq and Afghanistan, poisoining the land wherever they lay. But let's be serious now. The US hides behind the guise of chemical weapons. They use it to scare the public as if it's some big bugaboo waiting to get you. Somehow the THREAT of sarin gas is worse than non stop drone strikes, attack helicopters mowing people down from a mile away, tanks leveling towns. AND that's the TAME stuff. While I don't believe the conspiracy of the magical weapons the US has in hiding, the 'conventional' weapons they have are pretty horrific such as thermobaric bombs which they have perfected. Of course, chemical weapons probably provide an agonizing death, but DEAD is DEAD. One should really question which is worse... Syria arming their warheads with chemical weapons for POSSIBLE use, or a government that actively funds terrorist organizations to foment violence and death in other countries. Ironically, this is NOT Iran and Hezbollah, but obviously the US and.... Panama, Iran, Syria, Egypt...... and it goes on. ^^ saved me a lot of writing Even intentionally going to a country when you know you have flu can be considered as Bio warfare, thats not to say that We brits haven't done it or most countries for that matter, there is a Island up near Scotland that is untouchable due to Anthrax Anderson_G Always expect the unexpected and beware of nasty things pretending to be nice. |

Because herbicides were used in Vietnam to destroy crops and defoliate jungle cover, the military used 27 times more herbicide per unit area than most domestic applications, which are primarily used to prevent weed growth. [link to utvet.com] 7. Consequences of the use of Depleted Uranium in Iraq and the Balkans How much DU was used? In Iraq, about 300 metric tons of DU ammunition were fired by American and British troops. Recently, NATO confirmed the use of DU ammunition in Kosovo battlefields, where approximately 10 metric tons of DU were used. The often-heard claim that this use of DU was a cheap way to "solve" a waste problem, is certainly not true. The total quantity of DU in ammunition that was used in Iraq and Kosovo corresponds to barely four days of DU production worldwide. [link to www.nato.int] |

After getting Cabinet approval, German Defense Minister Thomas de Maiziere told reporters that two German Patriot batteries with a total of 400 soldiers would be sent to the border area under NATO command for one year, although the deployment could be shortened. The announcement also appeared to be a message to Assad's regime at a time when Washington and other governments fear Syria may be readying its chemical weapons stockpiles for possible use as fighting with the rebels in the capital, Damascus, and other areas intensifies. In the interview translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), one fighter says that “Allah willing,” the next goals are to invade Israel, Turkey, Iran, Iraq and – most intriguingly – Spain. Tellingly, they refer to Spain as Andalusia, the once heartland of Muslim rule in Spain after Muslim forces invaded in the year 711. They also express a desire to capture Cordoba in Spain, the site of an Islamic Caliphate during the Middle Ages. This will likely raise further concerns about what Syria may look like post-Assad.
