Quick theory time (not my own)

O provided chemical weapons to Al Quaeda in Syria (the "freedom fighters") but wants to make it look like Assad is actually using the weapons. Al Quaeda uses said weapons, Assad is blamed, runs to hide in safety. Safety not found, US of A finds him and he suffers the same fate as Saddam. He is shut up. O successful in literally surrounding Israel with Al Quaeda-run countries.

Also has to do with why Benghazi was a cover-up - weapons being given to Al Quaeda by the big O.

Again, not my theory, but it's being circulated out there in cyber land.
