Why did God do Satanís bidding?
Why did God do Satanís bidding?

Christians are too religious to follow their moral sense and spiritual natures. Religion is directing your morals instead of your God given intelligence, moral sense and spiritual nature. I urge you to follow the teachings of spiritual teachers like Bishop Spong. A moral man.

[link to www.youtube.com]

Galileo -- "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

Job 2; 3 And the LORD said unto Satan: 'Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a whole-hearted and an upright man, one that feareth God, and shunneth evil? and he still holdeth fast his integrity, although thou didst move Me against him, to destroy him without cause.

Fellow believers and Gnostic Christians like me; if you are a literalist or fundamental Christian or idol worship the God you have found in the Bible, I urge you to think of the story of Job and note from the wording that God is being manipulated by Satan. Satan bid God to move against Job without just cause and God did just that. God let Satan manipulate him.

I know that your mind set is to think that God is controlling Satan but as the wording and Godís actions clearly shows, this is not so. Satan ruled God that day.

Psa 5: 5 For Thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; evil shall not sojourn with Thee. 6 The boasters shall not stand in Thy sight; Thou hatest all workers of iniquity. 4 For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you.

As Job 2;3 shows, evil definitely dwells in God and definitely sojourn.

Some of you will say that regardless of the immorality of Godís actions, you can ignore them as you have a new covenant with Jesus. I see this as a cop out on your part. Jesus was not born divine. He had to become divine as we all must according to scriptures. These say he was a Rabbi only and had to force his apotheosis the way we all must through seeking God.

Job 25; 4 How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
Hebrew 5; 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

If a man did what God did to Job, Christians would soundly condemn that man yet you elevate God for doing the same immoral actions. You do so because your fear death and crave heaven but your poor moral position insures that hell will be your end result as immoral souls do not earn heaven. Let evil be in your heart as God does but remember that recognizing it is what is important. Not the fact that it is there.

Do you realize that your morality has been compromised by religion and that you are not following the law of God that is written on your heart?
You are giving God a pass when you should be giving him a fail, ---- just as you would give an evil man?

Let your spiritual nature guide you. Not a corrupted religion.

Re: Why did God do Satanís bidding?
Job is one of the finest pieces of literature ever written. To comment on it would take volumes. Know this, God is not mocked, and any attribute of God can never be thought of without considering foremost, God cannot lie.

What Satan was saying was, "of course Job loves you, who wouldn't in his place?" You have blessed him with all the good that life can offer?"

God did not listen to Satan. This is a ploy that all evil men would hold in their hearts if they saw only believers prospering in this world. Heck, they might become one too, to get in on the free give aways.

Any believer will tell you that their faith has been tested by fire. They may stumble, but they will not fall. They can never leave Him that has revealed Himself to them in their walk in this sin ridden world.

Faith tested by fire. Jobs wife played the part of Satan on earth when she told him to curse God and die.

Satan has no power over God. God was always in control and always will Be. Satan made the accusation as stated above, God knows the heart of men. God allowed Job to be sifted, just as Peter was. They both were tried in fire and came through with more love towards their Heavenly Father knowing that even in suffering God will not allow one of his to fall, though they stumble, He will raise them up higher because of their obedience to trust in Him, for even in suffering a man will gain wisdom, courage, grace, faith, compassion, and a humble spirit.

Otherwise, none of these traits could be found in anyone that lived a perfect life without any compromise or needed compassion towards another. It would pretty much be a "Oh God, I need a new pair of shoes tomorrow for the party" kind of life. Bore me - can't see good if you haven't known evil-and recognised it

This bit says that God did listen to Satan and acted on what he heard. Note,--- without cause.

Your morals have been compromised as you give God a pass for doing what you would condemn men for doing. A double standard.

Where does God ask these if they are willing to be deceived?

Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets.

Re: Why did God do Satanís bidding?
I do believe that Job's tale poses a problem for God's omnibenevolence.

They say God loves you thousands upon thousands of times more than the most caring mother loves her child.

Imagine then, a goodly, loving mother and her child walking down the street.

A nasty man walks up to them and says, "Look there, your child holding on to you lovingly. Well of course he loves you. You protect him, give him food, comfort him. How could he not love you? Tell you what, to prove he really is a loyal child and truly loves you, give him to me so that I may do him harm. I'll kill his puppy, poke out one of his eyes, and burn him with cigarettes. Then we shall see if he is true in his devotion and love."

Now, in that situation, what would a goodly and loving mother do? She certainly wouldn't say "Okay" and hand over her child! Why would God, who is infinitely more loving, allow his child to fall victim to Satan?

From the tale it just sounds like Satan is preying on God's ego. God allows Satan to test Job so God can get a nice little ego stroke when Job continues to follow God.

What really was accomplished by Job's test? The God in the tale got to feel good about Himself because by Job's devoutness He proved how awesome He was. But besides that, I just see a whole lotta suffering for a whole lotta pettiness.

That's my interpretation of it.

Nicely thought out and put.

Wish you were with me in other places where I am arguing with those who do not think as clearly as you do.

If I had your use of language, temperamant and focus, I am sure that I would do better in what I try to do.

A pleasure to meet a good mind that I can respect.

Hi OP, just a real life example to expand on your line of thought.

9/11 was a fraud. It has advanced many wars. The basis, war on terror, as it is still being propagated, will advance further wars in future. We can see this unfolding in real time. In fact, for those who have followed the trail of 9/11 and the eery silence of the world leaders, even those with a religious front, over something so obvious as the collapse of building 7, they can see the conspiracy to funnel the world into a direction which funny enough plays into the bible agenda. It's a self fulfilling prophecy and in reality these wars have no truth to them and shouldn't really be happening regardless of whether the bible said so or not.

Most Christians believe, without any alternative insight into what they are being fed by MSM, that these wars must happen because it is foretold in the bible. In fact, the greater these wars, the more assurance they have that their saviour is coming even though the bible requires its followers to believe lies to gain a supposed truth.

The dangers of this however is that just by believing in those lies makes not only empowers the chaos but also makes you complicit in the deaths that came about as a result if it. Ultimately you are divorced from your morals....from your own self and you become nothing more but an object subject to the whims of an agenda.....of an elite group.

My question is this: if lies, deception and coverups are a necessity for Christians to keep their beliefs true and for them to think they would be saved, what are the chances that those fraudulent beliefs won't only not save you but the Jesus they are expecting is nothing more that a devil at the end of it all.

If you have to believe lies to gain a truth, what are the chances that that same truth you believe isn't a fraud or worse evil in disguise?

It's interesting you saw the devil and recognised him. If I may ask, did you have a previous encounter or did you know him from the movies. Or perhaps you read it in a book? Lol. The system gave you educational or indoctrination tools only to haunt you with it.

You have little understanding of your human nature. The very act of being able to weigh good and bad is what makes you human. If you desire just goodness, well there are many like that watching the xfactor and living in coocoo land thinking someone is coming that saves them soon.

They are all heading for the global village where they give you a fake peace....the NWO if homogenous sheep.

Good points.

Who was it, Spain if memory serves, who just recently wanted a new investigation based on what their secret service knew in advance of 9/11. I have not heard anything since. The powers may have berried that request.

The basic problem I think is that people do not recognize the Noble Lie that has been used to manipulate not only religions but the rest of us as well.

If the U S government did not have something to hide then they would act and the fact that they do not says quite a bit. An innocent man would not rest till he was exonerated. The guilty will just stay silent in the hopes of the public having a short memory.

My kingdom for a whistle blower.

God does not do Satan's bidding.

As to why God allows evil is because free will offers Humanity the chance to grow.

If God played "super mom" with life he would create dependent's living at home smoking pot all day.

The story of Job illustrates this point saying Gods true desire to to build a relationship with men nothing more even if the relationship goes through rough patches in the end it will be true and honest.

Does not man initiate another to 'Go ahead, try me."? Or doesn't a boss see that a man is strong and loyal, to then give him an even more daunting and important task?

Do we not look in the face of an opponent and dare him to cross the line? Does it mean we are doing 'their' bidding? No, it is us trying to prove the other person wrong, weak, useless and another strong, loyal and precious.

Why is man allowed so many variables in their lives and yet when God does it we are somehow appalled or surprised? He created us, we are like Him, therefore we shouldn't be so surprised that He takes pride in us in the face of His and our enemy.

I was so scared and alone in this inky darkness.

Then I started thinking about God and on Judgement day how like in a court of law my story would have so many holes in it I would be thrown in the slammer.

Then I realized in court Jesus would do all the talking to God for me, then Satan fled and I felt the most wholeness Ive ever experienced in my entire life.

The "test" God put JOb through is more like a mother who allows her child to ride his/her bike to school alone for the first time. To cross the street by themselves.

Yes, there are dangers, but that child has to be "tested" and tried to be able to handle all the unknowns, and possible pitfalls that may cross their paths. THeir maturity in how they handle that situation gives the loving parent more confidence in the child's ability to handle even tougher tests in the future. I feel God was showing satan what his children were made of in the Book of Job.

Re: Why did God do Satanís bidding?
Satan is real. I encountered him while using drugs. He showed me my future while simultaneously taunting and causing physical pain to me just by willing it into my mind. Seek Christ now, the end is truly near.

It's interesting you saw the devil and recognized him.

I didn't really see him, could not tell you what he looks like, but I did encounter him as he 'visited' me while tripping on Salvia, and I even underestimated him. After the physical and verbal torture I came back to consciousness with full blown PTSD. I did not even remember what happened while I was on the drugs, just that something was wrong. I was so scared and messed up that I took a plane to my parents house. At Chicago O'hare I went to my terminal and noticed something was off about monitor screen that shows departure/arrival time and location info for the terminal, there were bright red horns sticking out of the monitor screen, not literally, just holographic. Then later after I was staying at my parents', I was playing a texas hold'em game on my phone and I was betting and raising one of the robot players named 'Lucy' and they called my bluff so I checked and they went all in with their remaining chips: 666. I called and they showed a set of 3s. (333) and ever since then, I see 333 and 666 every day almost.

I can answer this for you, if the other poster doesn't reply.

You just know, you can feel the absolute emptiness effeminate from him.

You know magic eye books where the images leap forward? Well imagine a TV screen with nothing but static, and all of a sudden the static forms and image and becomes 3d popping out at you.

He is a snake, with millions of eyes covering the snakes body.

Very attractive in a non human way.

But utterly evil, with my sin nature in a messed up way you can kind of relate to him. But he's so dark and evil he gave off the sense that If it were possible to be physical he would tear humanity to shred's.

It was surprising, I went my whole life thinking I was a "good person" only to end up in darkness with the lier.

In the realms/dimensions beyond there is no sense of time. It felt like I was there forever in the darkness of hell but in reality it only lasted 20 minutes or so.

Then I realized I'm only witnessing Satan because God allowed it. God is and forever will be in control.

I also realized every bad thing God uses to teach you, and to draw you closer to him.

Then peace came over me. I love God. I never been to heaven or anything like that, but I know I love him.

So much love and peace filled with me I was laughing and jumping around saying I love God over and over and over wishing I had a bigger vocabulary to complement God on being God lol

Same thing with me, he showed me all my friends sins via telepathy and tried to convince me there was no good in the world and only darkness. (perhaps trying to get me to kill himself)

Yes, he does want us to kill ourselves, I have no doubts in my mind, that is the best way for him to win our souls.

Our encounter started out as, I was alone, in a dark place with a dim red light, I was in complete pain and could not move. I thought I had died and gone to hell. The physical pain eased up a bit when verbal attack commenced, but was still present.

Man as soon as it was over my Christian mom popped over with subs for me to eat and it freaked me out!!

Mothers always know!!!

She was rushing and I asked her "Why are you rushing?"

and she was like "I don't know, just eat"

The whole thing went from hellish to absolutely funny. Mothers are truly under appreciated.

I was watching this near death on youtube and the first thing he saw in the hospital was his mom and he freaked out as well lol

Re: Why did God do Satanís bidding?
God does not do Satan's bidding.

As to why God allows evil is because free will offers Humanity the chance to grow.

If God played "super mom" with life he would create dependent's living at home smoking pot all day.

The story of Job illustrates this point saying Gods true desire to to build a relationship with men nothing more even if the relationship goes through rough patches in the end it will be true and honest.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1178940

You are sending me off topic but what the hell.

The good old free will card.

You cannot help but do evil and God is unjust for punishing you for doing what you cannot help but do.

Christians are always trying to absolve God of moral culpability in the fall by whipping out their favorite "free will!", or ď itís all manís faultĒ.

That is "God gave us free will and it was our free willed choices that caused our fall. Hence God is not blameworthy."

But this simply avoids God's culpability as the author of Human Nature. Free will is only the ability to choose. It is not an explanation why anyone would want to choose "A" or "B" (bad or good action). An explanation for why Eve would even have the nature of "being vulnerable to being easily swayed by a serpent" and "desiring to eat a forbidden fruit" must lie in the nature God gave Eve in the first place. Hence God is culpable for deliberately making humans with a nature-inclined-to-fall, and "free will" means nothing as a response to this problem.

If all sin by nature then, the sin nature is dominant. If not, we would have at least some who would not sin.

Having said the above for the God that I do not believe in, I am a Gnostic Christian naturalist, let me tell you that evil is all human generated. Evil is our responsibility.

Much has been written to explain what I see as a natural part of evolution.

Consider.
First, let us eliminate what some see as evil. Natural disasters. These are unthinking occurrences and are neither good nor evil. There is no intent to do evil even as victims are created.

Evil then is only human to human.
As evolving creatures, all we ever do, and ever can do, is compete or cooperate.
Cooperation we would see as good as there are no victims created. Competition would be seen as evil as it creates a victim. We all are either cooperating, doing good, or competing, doing evil at all times.

Without us doing some of both, we would likely go extinct.

This, to me, explains why there is evil in the world quite well.

Be you a believer in nature, evolution or God, we should all see that what Christians see as something to blame, evil, we should see that what we have, competition, deserves a huge thanks for being available to us.

There is no conflict between nature and God on this issue. This is how things are and should be. We all must do what some will think is evil as we compete and create losers to this competition.

Regards
DL

Exactly, I immediately knew who had joined me on this adventure without ever seeing him. I wanted to ask, what's your problem man? As to ask why they are evil in the first place, but it seemed absolutely pointless to ask such a question. He enjoys hurting us and would rather suffer in hell with us then seek God's forgiveness, if it were even possible. He is the opposite of Jesus, and of love, etc.

It took a while for me to hear from God after this, but the last message God sent me was: 'I love all of you, no matter what...' this was during church and a few people simultaneously started crying at the same time I heard this message, they must have heard it too.
