Hey Turtle,
I still smoke.quit for six months some years ago and said screw it.
No one get's out alive, ya gonna die of something.

Tell me more about your tobacco and stuff please.
 Quoting: Acro

I roll my own and buy my tobacco - I like European blends better than American.

I have a little hand held thing to roll them and it only takes a few minutes to roll a pack - and then I have some damned awesome cigarette cases!! (ok, I'm a girl, it's another accessory, lol).

Started buying pipe tobacco - cheaper - and it makes a smoky butt smell so nice - doesn't everyone love the scent of pipe tobacco - didn't Santa used to smoke a pipe (for those of us born before the 70s).

I don't smoke store-bought. Those little fire-safe rings in your cig are carpet glue.

If you need more info, ask hf
 Quoting: Turtles Voice

Your smoking pipe tobacco? Are ya inhaling? Damn if you answer yes.
 Quoting: Acro

Well, of course, I inhale, lol, I'm not Mr. Clinton!! laugh

I smoke organic Spirits.

Am quitting starting Jan 1, 2013.

Was 16 years off the smokes. Been 5 years on. Ready to let them go. I really enjoyed smoking - especially since they were organic - tobacco only. Even so, the first smoke of the day leaves me feeling tired and my breath is not as strong as it could be. It's time to let go and breathe again...

quit long time ago. I do not have a problem w/smokers, does not bother me 2 b around someone who smokes. The thing I don't like about it is all the chemicals. Also read that cigarettes contain over 15% sugar. Countries that do not sugar cure cigarettes have almost no lung cancer, also sugar makes them more addictive.

So if u can smoke chemical free, lite in sugar, it's most likely not so bad for u.

sounds like the mantra of the dumb ass, lobotomized, liberal crowd

Get a clue dung beetle, the government is the one pushing the "smoking is bad" crap. That is the same government that intentionally let people die of syphilis (Tuskegee Syphilis Study), tested LSD on its own soldiers (MK-ULTRA "study") and intentionally tested radiation exposure on its own people....OK, dumb ass..."mmmmmm copd YUMMY"...don't forget to drink your fluroide...shhh...nobody let it know that the ADA now recommends against fluoide...that it is used to dumb down a society

If you really had COPD and you got it from smoking...you sure as shit would not have called it "YUMMY"!

For the record, I would still like to keep smoking if my body permited it. I stopped beacause I don't want to be a burden on those I care about.

May I, respectfully, ask how many pharmaceuticals you're taking?

Statins are bullshit and squirrel you up and make for erectile dysfunction (not that I actually know you are a man) and blood pressure meds - oh my!

These things are easily controlled with diet and some Niacin. Trust me, my dad-in-law had a heart attack and is almost free of pharms. He finally listened to us - 70+ and still jogging miles.

The medical business is just that - a business - they need you to stay sick or else, how would they exist?

Re: Yes, I smoke ...
Growing your own isn't illegal and it gives you confidence knowing what's in it. You have to fight some sphinx moths, but you can grow it most anywhere, easily, cheaply, but it does require care and aging. About 100 plants will last your until the next growing season, and after you plant the first year, you will never have to worry about buying seeds again since they produce so many...not to mention the type you just grew is tempered to your climate. Pretty easy and the cigs do taste a LOT different than what you buy. Learn how to do it yourself and stop paying taxes.

www.seedman.com sells seeds. I got a variety and now have a good set of seeds from my plants.

Is anyone here growing their own tobacco? Its easy to grow. Like pot, curing can be tricky, but with practice your homegrown can rival the finest imported leaf. For much cheaper than you can buy it.

(edit, I see someone is :))

I grew tobacco commercially for 13 years, its really no harder than growing tomatoes. The strain names are really nifty:

[link to www.newhopeseed.com]

Another plus to growing tobacco if you are growing for seed...the blooms smell lovely. Tobacco flower is a delightful scent which is still used in some perfume products

And don't forget the herb nicotinia (Flowering tobacco)
[link to flowers.about.com]

And Wild tobacco, Nicotiana rustica, also known as Sacred Tobacco:

[link to muskogeephoenix.com]

Growing tobacco can be as much fun as growing weed :)

And you don't have to use Ona.
