Turtle,
you are not really interested in knowledge.

Smoke smoke that cigarette.

Smoke smoke smoke until you smoke yourself to death.

I just hate to make him wait

Turtle.

Why did you post this?

If you were truly comfortable being a smoker and "to hell with everyone's judgment", then you would not post this.

YOU HAVE TO DECIDE WHAT YOU IMAGINE YOUR IMAGE OF YOURSELF IS.

tHAT BEING THE CASE, YOU HAVE TO ASK: aM i THIS BODY WITH ITS CRAVINGS AND DESIRE?

The real Turtle, like all self-conscious beings, are sitting on the side-lines and watching their waking-self playing a particular role in a drama.

It is more import for Turtle to know her Self.

Whatever you can observe, as a witness, like in your dream time dramas, is True.

Smoking, or any other social function changes with the times.

Why did you post this thread?

Do you really want to be tobacco free?

Do you really want to be concept free?

Prior to your birth and a thousand years hence,

what were you?

PERFECT.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28099739

I was bored - yep, the house is clean, hubby's working on his next gig and the animals were fed - I was bored and rolling a smokey

I shouldn't be bored, of course, you know they say only uninteresting people are ever bored, but I didn't want to cut the cloth into a new quilt and I can't see my next novel, yet, so I thought about smoking and the curse of it. Which actually may play a part in my next book - some call it research.

Some of us actually think of things. Some of us write books. Some of us aren't New Agers (totally ready to challenge others for something we don't agree with) - some of us still feel ....

Why are you an AC? Why are you so scared to stand up to your opinion and put your name and face out there? There are many challenges AC - didn't you know that you were once perfect? Why hide?

... I know how PC uncool it is, but I roll my own - Amsterdam shag is my favorite, but right now it's Turkish Export.

Funny enough, I stink far less than those buying the store bought and I'm not consuming carpet glue (fire-safe, they call them). It's hard for me to smoke a store bought smoke.

So are there smokers still about?

Yay to good tobacco!

I quit about 8 years ago. I LOVED each and every cigarette I ever smoked, but now I'm happy that I no longer do. Enjoy your smoke, it's good stuff, but not for everyone.

applause to you.

I mean that from my heart - we all have different paths to travel and good on you for quitting!!

Yay, you! cheer

I've rolled my own for three years now. The hell with fire safe cigs. What a stupid fucking idea. The big cig companies were adding accelerant to them in the first place. Remember the ash canoe if you forgot one burning? Smoke a joint or cig with a zig zag for a minute or so. Stop puffing. The thing goes out on it's own. Think about that for a second. No chemicals, no special paper, no laws, just natural occurance. Fuck all the major cig companies and the stupid fuck that supposedly died in NY and the stupid bitch that made a name for herself for getting this shit started in the first place. Yes, retards do too much heroin and fall asleep on a mattress and burn to death. People also try to read books or newspapers while driving, does the fda poison them? BLOOD SHARTS

Oddly enough, RYO are nice and a lot cheaper. They come off... as IDK there is this, really distinct taste to them. O can't lay my finger on it. That and they seem to be messier than regular cigs.

IDK a cig is a cig. You're gonna die anyways - atleast have a smile on your face while doing it.

Here are some of the documentaries I've saved about cures for cancer as well as a Dr's report that is unequivicable about the fact that smoking doesn't cause lung cancer.

Smoking does NOT cause lung cancer:
[link to www.journaloftheoretics.com]

Cancer, the forbidden cure:
a documentary that hi-lighted many people who cured cancers and had their clinics shut down.
Funny how this documentary is no longer available eh?
[link to www.youtube.com]

Run from the cure:
Rick Simpson’s story.. how he cured cancer
[link to www.youtube.com]

The History of Essiac and Rene Caise
Her clinic where she cured cancers was shut down
[link to www.essiacinfo.org]

Dr Berzynski’s story
The government harassment he’s been put through, because he cures cancer
I’ve put the link to a full page of documentaries about Dr Berzynski’s Harassment and cures.
[link to www.youtube.com]

Every one of these is worth watching, and very educational for the average person who isn't aware of research cover ups when it comes to cancer.

I would rather meet someone on the highway smoking a cig, rather than drinking alcohol or doing cocaine.

Yep i decided to quit as well. I tried juggling smoking and jogging and found they didnt work together. LOL The kew yo quitting is you have to become totaly disgusted by it. In my case i used that tactic and the fact i have a daughter to live for. Im really worried about my mom though. Shes been a heavy smokey for years and Both of her parents died of lung cancer and one of them wasnt even a smoker...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6409759

Interesting point.

My uncles that smoked lived well into their 80s, as did my Grandpa (also a smoker), my Grandmother, not a smoker, although she lived with smokers - also lived well into her 80s.

My aunt that didn't smoke died in her 70s, from cancer, cursing those goddamned smokers that lived longer than her.

My dad passed in his 60s - ate up with cancer - but he was also around during some of those early nuclear explosions during WWII. I swear, I saw his health grow far worse after he listened to the doctors.
 Quoting: Turtles Voice

That's because new research is showing that the second hand smoke YOU BLOW OUT in the path of non-smokers is more lethal than the shit you're ingesting.

So you may think oh yeah it's your right to smoke, but what you are actually doing is killing the non-smoking population walking in the path of your smoke by persisting with your smelly stinky filthy habit.

Re: Yes, I smoke ...
The 1982 United States Surgeon General’s report stated that “Cigarette smoking is the major single cause of cancer mortality [death] in the United States.” This statement is as true today as it was then.

Tobacco use is responsible for nearly 1 in 5 deaths in the United States. Because cigarette smoking and tobacco use are acquired behaviors; activities that people choose to do – smoking is the most preventable cause of death in our society.

I am a nurse & see lots of 60 - 70 yr old men with lung, esophageal , larynx & bladder ca. Almost all are caused by smoking & or alcohol. It may take 20 - 40 yrs to get you, but there is a good chance it will.
You may think it is your decision, but in reality the smokes control you. You've even convinced yourself that yours arent as bad as the store bought. People who can barely breathe or swallow will continue to puff away, so sad.
Break free, dont be a slave
