I would press a button that killed everyone who uses the terms "leftist", "rightist", "liberal", "democrat", or "republican".

The entire voting block, left and right, are liberals who want big government, and handouts.... As long as they are the handouts that their "party" approves of. To that end, whoever pushed this button would inadvertently kill all of the neocon pieces of shit too.

No. As a Conservative, I believe both sides of the body politic needs and deserves to be heard.

On the other hand, my dealings with Liberals over the years would lead me to believe that if they had a similar button to kill Republicans and Conservatives, they wouldn't hesitate to push it.

I consider myself a libertarian with views that range from far right (2nd amendment tard) to an ever so slight dip to left of center (some of the safety net is needed for those that REALLY AND TRULY can not take care of themselves, like the severely handicapped or disabled and their families that must care for them). That being said, I would not push that button because if you get rid of all those currently left of center all you will do is move those who are moderate right to the new left.

Which side you are currently on is only defined by who is on the other side. Someone like Harry Reid is as far left from someone like Ron Paul as you can get so Reid would get buttoned. As would Pelosi, Clinton, Bloomberg, Boxer and every other member of the Democrat party. But what are you left with? You have people like Olympia Snowe who will become the new left. Snowe isn't REALLY a conservative, not when you look at her record. Based on her voting record a case could be made that she was REALLY a left of center moderate. So her and those like her get the button too.

And while we are at it, what about Beohner? He caves way to easy and doesn't stand true to real conservative principals (Remember, we are using Ron Paul as a measurement. You can pick anyone you want, I just use him as the most far right as possible.) So, Beohner gets the button too. Along with everyone else to the left of him, like Mitch McConnell and Dick Lugar.

And what about Rand Paul. Sure he is very far right but he did support Romney (who got buttoned along with Beohner and Co.). That would earn him a button as well, again along with everyone to the left of Rand.

Anyone seeing a pattern here? Your button might be used to remove everyone with a current "leftist" viewpoint, but, what about when the left is redefined? I am sure they would get the button too. And so on and so on until you are left with only one viewpoint.

Doesn't really sound like a good idea if you ask me.
