Ok, I have seen 2 or three of their schedules that differ from each other. I don't know it seems they keep revising them. There was one in August, October and I think another in November last year.

Now there is a chance that they have reviewed their schedule ever since this article came out in April but there is a chance that they do/did intend to carry out experiments on this date and this information was made publicly available or within the scientific community.

Of all the strange times to conduct LHC testing, Dec 21, 2012 is a really weired time to start. I guess they need good angles.
