Noah's Flood Was Really a Tsunami Caused by a Comet: A Retranslation of Genesis 7:11
The Bible’s Book of Genesis was originally written in Hebrew.


Hebrew words like English words can have multiple meanings. The job of a translator is to select the best word to convey the meaning for each word being translated. The better a translator understands what is being said, the better the translation. Knowing how certain words were used at the time and within its culture prevents distorted translations that are inconsistent with the body of material being translated.
In the case of Noah’s Flood some basic meteorology and geology should be acknowledged:

Forty days and nights of rain cannot make a major flood.
If all the water in underground aquifers were to rise, and all the water locked up in polar ice and glaciers were to melt, and all the water in the atmosphere and biosphere were to fall to Earth; the oceans would only rise about 140 feet. This would not be enough water to cover mountains.

The Hebrew word translated as “windows” or “floodgates” can also mean “to lurk or lie in wait,” and the word translated as “opened” basically means “loosed.” Astronomers now know that the solar system is surrounded by a great “storehouse” of comets (the Oort Cloud), out of which comets “are loosed” to come into the inner solar system and go on to strike the earth.



Job 38:22 NIV asks, “Have you entered the storehouses of the snow (comets) or seen the storehouses of the hail (comets can be surrounded by a huge cloud of basketball sized hailstones) which I reserve for times of trouble . . . ?”


The time of Noah’s Flood was a time of trouble!
A new translation of Genesis 7:11 would now read:
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the sources of the great primeval ocean (comets) broken up, and those that lie in wait in heaven (comets) were loosed...

Once before because of its sin the earth was destroyed by water in the Great Flood of Noah’s day but the Bible says that the world will be destroyed again, this time by fire.

“The present heavens and earth, by His word, are being reserved for fire, kept for the Day of Judgment and the destruction of ungodly men” (2Peter 3:7).

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat and the earth and its works will be burned up” (2Peter 3:10).

“The sun scorched men with fire” (Revelation 16:8).


“A third of the earth was burned up and a third of the trees were burned up and all the green grass was burned up. A great mountain (asteroid?) burning with fire was thrown into the sea and a third of the sea became blood and a third of the creatures which were in the sea and had life died and a third of the ships were destroyed. And a great star (comet?) fell from heaven burning like a torch and it fell on a third of the rivers and springs of water”
(Revelation 8:7-11).

“The inhabitants of the earth are burned and few men are left” (Isaiah 24:6).

“The hills melt and the earth is burned up” (Nahum 1:5).

Once again, many have associated December 21, 2012 with a shift in the poles as well as signs in the sky. What does the Bible tell us about these events?

“The stars will fall from the sky” (Matthew 24:29).

If the earth shifts on its axis and we are thrown around, the stars will appear to fall but it will actually be us that are moving.

“The earth is broken asunder. The earth is split through. The earth is shaken violently. Thee earth reels to and fro like a drunkard and it totters like a shack “(Isaiah 24:19-20).

Once again a shift in the polar axis might tear the earth apart.

“There will be great earthquakes. The sun became black like sackcloth; the moon became like blood…The stars of the sky fell to the earth... The sky split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up…every mountain and island moved out of their place’ (Revelation 6:12-14).

As a recent reply indicated, the Bible is full of pole shift references. It also gives astronomical clues that date the End Times accurately. A pole shift is coming late December 2019. The seven year tribulation starts this December in 2012; look for war and a peace treaty for Israel soon. Check Amazon books for "2019" or Google "End Times and 2019"

And if the comet starts to break up after its encounter with the sun ...then what? Its headed in our direction after it swings around the sun.

The Mayas said that civilization would be destroyed by water from the sky. Sound familiar? ie...comet made of ice breaks up some pieces head towards earth make it through the atmosphere without melting all the way and dump zillions of tons of water into the lower atmosphere before they dissipate,hit the ground or explode.

Comets have been known to break up after close encounters with the sun.

Could this be part of the Mayan Prophecy coming to fruition? After all they said the troubles would BEGIN on Dec. 21st 2012...not that they would begin and end on the same day. We are going to be in alignment with the center of our galaxy for awhile..effects on our planet from the alignment could be felt for years afterwards.

Conversely, if they do *not* properly understand what is being said, the worse the translation, yes? This is absolutely key. And that's assuming said translator is even objective, which is not a given.
