The passage you quote from Genesis is not symbolic. The symbolism of Rev comes from the book of Daniel where we find the four 'beasts' are four empires, the fourth and final being, Rome; well understood for over 2000 years now.

What is the meaning of the "continual sacrifice" in
Daniel? Four references you see repeated and the same, please explain what does the "continual sacrifice" have to do with the "abomination unto desolation?"

For the record I believe that child abuse is one of the most vile and dispicable acts a person can commit.
