Who picks the 'chosen ones'... they themselves?
Evidently not....;
"“When the king came in to inspect the guests he caught sight there of a man not clothed with a marriage garment.  So he said to him, ‘Fellow, how did you get in here not having on a marriage garment?’ He was rendered speechless. Then the king said to his servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and throw him out into the darkness outside. There is where [his] weeping and the gnashing of [his] teeth will be.’
“For there are many invited, but few chosen.” Mt22:11

It makes since that if you are chosen you can make decisions for everyone. that is why judaism is one of histories greatest slavers. %0-60% of the black slaves brought into the Us were on jewish shipos based out of Boston and NYC. In Brazilalone the jews sold 1 million slaves. Chosen is a mental disorder.

QOUTE; "It makes since that if you are chosen you can make decisions for everyone"
No it doesn't, the kingdom of God is the end of dictatorships, the restoration of freedom.
"And so Jesus went on to say to the Jews that had believed him: “If YOU remain in my word, YOU are really my disciples, 32 and YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free.” Jo8:31

“For there are many invited, but few chosen.” Mt22:11
 Quoting: DGN

Matthew 22:14

Many are called, but few are chosen - Our Saviour often uses this expression. It was probably proverbial. The Jews had been called, but few of them had been chosen to life. The great mass of the nation was wicked, and they showed by their lives that they were not chosen to salvation. The Gentiles also were invited to be saved, Isa_45:22. Nation after nation has been called; but few, few have yet showed that they were real Christians, the elect of God. It is also true that many who are in the church may prove to be without the wedding garment, and show at last that they were not the chosen of God. This remark in the 14th verse is the inference from the “whole parable,” and not of the part about the man without the wedding garment. It does not mean, therefore, that the great mass in the church are simply called and not chosen, or are hypocrites; but the great mass in “the human family,” in the time of Christ, who had been “called,” had rejected the mercy of God.

If someone 'accepts Jesus as his savior' does that mean he is accepted in return?

 Quoting: pi 20063747

Without being chosen how can one become a true believer?
" So the disciples came up and said to him: “Why is it you speak to them by the use of illustrations?” 11 In reply he said: “To YOU it is granted to understand the sacred secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, but to those people it is not granted. 12 For whoever has, more will be given him and he will be made to abound; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13 This is why I speak to them by the use of illustrations, because, looking, they look in vain, and hearing, they hear in vain, neither do they get the sense of it; 14 and toward them the prophecy of Isaiah is having fulfillment, which says, ‘By hearing, YOU will hear but by no means get the sense of it; and, looking, YOU will look but by no means see. 15 For the heart of this people has grown unreceptive, and with their ears they have heard without response, and they have shut their eyes; that they might never see with their eyes and hear with their ears and get the sense of it with their hearts and turn back, and I heal them.’ Mt13:10

All is freedom of choice....
No one comes unto the Father lest HE CALLS THEM. Love calls ALL to it's shores.
The chosen choose to be One, for in truth there is but One Source and we are its reflection.

The Jews officially ceased to be Jehovah's chosen ones when he sent the Roman army to destroy the temple and scatter them.
"Furthermore, when YOU see Jerusalem surrounded by encamped armies, then know that the desolating of her has drawn near. 21 Then let those in Judea begin fleeing to the mountains, and let those in the midst of her withdraw, and let those in the country places not enter into her; 22 because these are days for meting out justice, that all the things written may be fulfilled. 23 Woe to the pregnant women and the ones suckling a baby in those days! For there will be great necessity upon the land and wrath on this people; 24 and they will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations, until the appointed times of the nations are fulfilled." Lk21:20

The world bases where it is in the stream of time on the life of a single man 2000 years ago.
