Parenting is a great responsibility......and I have much admiration for the women who raise their own children. And I also view them equally as important.....and having equal (or greater) status.......as the career woman.

My husband and I are both educated (he has 2 masters degrees though and a better job than I did). For years I worked outside the home and we both worked our butts off for the "American dream" of owning a home, fancy vacations and whatever 'toys' we desired. Well somewhere down the line the demands of taking care of him (my FIRST priority), the home and trying to please the boss at work, PLUS take care of myself hit a brick wall. I could no longer 'do it all'. So things started to slowly fall out of place and I was the one that suffered the most as my health and diet were not good and I was suffering because of it, as was he because I never cooked when I worked. We were like ships in the night, I was about 10 or 15 pounds overweight and I had no energy to do anything fun on our days off, as I had to do all the errands and home-keeping. This was a span of a few years. I felt like he and I were never going to get off the 'wheel'.

One day he made the decision that I would stay home. That we had worked together for too long to achieve the goals we did and that now it was time to try a different way of life. It was scary at first because I could never remember a time when I didn't have a job. What happened is we became newlyweds again AND most importantly, I learned how to trust him on a level I previously did not know how to do. We found joy in the simple things. I no longer viewed money as a source of happiness. Luckily he makes enough for the both of us to live on. I treat him like a king. Some might say a little too good. But he takes care of me and allows me to now pursue my domestic interests, gardening, home decorating and learning to sew, etc., painting, taking a class, etc. I work out everyday, the house is always clean, all the chores are completed and I cook wonderful, healthy, nutritional meals for him everyday. I run our home and him like I would a business, because in a way that's exactly what a relationship/marriage is. We all have roles and responsibilities. We need the executive decisions makers (the men) and the arts/entertainment/domestic affairs planners (the wives) to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Now the women may say, oh wow, you sound like a slave. And maybe that is true, but I would rather be a slave to my husband who loves me than to uncle sam. I love my husband and my home and I love taking good care of both. And the perks are we have great sex more because I am not tired and exhausted when he comes home from work and I am in the best shape of my life and feel great. Weekends and time off are for having fun, not for 'catching up' on chores, etc.

His nightly menu always has a blow job on there, shuld he be in the mood... this type of stuff was never on the menu when I worked, lol, as I was way too tired after a long work day and an hour+ in the gym.

Being a stay at home wife is an awesome gig, if you can get the work. But be warned, you must like sleeping in until whatever time you like, having ample time to work out and take a jacuzzi bath afterwards, love eating healthy, home cooked meals, love having a clean, tidy home, love to go shopping and meeting gf's for lunch and a manicure, love looking HOT and SEXY for your husband when he comes home each day after a long day at work and never looking tired or warn out.


yeah, I think I'll keep this job has a stay at home wife. I know had I stayed in the workplace, we'd have definitely drifted apart given the course we were both on and perhaps our marriage would not have survived.
