I guess I have to spell it out for you two at a third grade level...

Women were bullshitted into thinking they were equal to men in terms of wanting the same jobs..i.e. construction workers, steel workers, mechanics, heavy equipment operators etc.

Women believed it and abandoned their motherly duties in droves. As a result the family suffered and will never recover.

What you see around you now is the best it will ever be and as each generation arises it will only get worse.

You two seem to believe that a woman being a loving mother is a crime or something.

No if you took the time to read my earlier posts you would see that I am against someone who is railing against choice. You continue to show how you believe that women are inferior.
Case in point your above quote "Women were bullshitted." That precludes that women are stupid and can't make up their own minds. A mother who wants to stay at home I admire, but if she chooses to work that is her decision. Not mine. Yours. Or any other religious/political groups. You have a negative outlook on life and society as a whole. You see a degradation of society where we see progress that makes society better as whole. The whole point of democracy is that you have the ability to make your own choices. Not some mid 20th century minded individual espewing his false ideas and failed agenda.

The fact that we are in the situation we are and the family unit is destroyed with high divorce rates tells me that yes, they were successful in bullshitting both men and women. For the women, it started subtly enough with burning the bra in the sixties. Then it went on to legalizing abortion, then rags such as Cosmopolitan told women that they were mistreated and repressed.

As I also said a woman should have the right to work as long as she does not shirk her role as wife and mother.
If she dumps the kids at a babysitter to prove the point that she can swing an ax as good as any man, then she is wrong. Her primary responsibility to her family is to raise the children and be a loving wife. Once that is accomplished, she can do as she wishes.

You just seem completely uncomfortable with women reject traditional gender roles which are based on milllenium old ideas brought by pedophiles raping children.

No, I am a product of the fifties.
Families were still families, mom cooked dinner, dad went out to work. We were safe playing outside till after dark and there was no drugs. Divorce was virtually unheard of and if it did occur, was spoken of in hushed tones. Out of wedlock childbirth was rare and the girl usually "went away" for a few months.

Jobs were plentiful, America was the envy of the world.
Everyone wanted to become a citizen of America and there was little tolerance for illegal aliens coming across the Mexican border. (Look up "Operation Wetback")

We were well fed and our most idealistic goal was to meet the right girl, buy a home and raise our family. It was easy to meet girls that weren't passed around like candy back then, they still had pride in themselves and most remained virgin until the wedding.

As far as intoxication, the worst was when dad came home drunk from the corner bar. Mom would put him to bed to sleep it off and all was fine in the morning.

If you were to take a poll of whether people are more content today or would they prefer to go back to my era, I think you would fing the majority would choose to go back.
