Australian Fuel Shortage Looming

This article came out today and while it focuses mostly on cutting farmers' access to diesel during harvest, I find the timing rather ironic...

There is mention of the need to cut rural access to the fuel to ensure supply to Melbourne. This is ringing some alarm bells for me - what do others think?

My conern is that if they need to cut fuel supply to rural areas in order to maintain city supply, what is that saying about the state of the fuel supply in general? And is it a problem that will spread to other parts of the country? And if limited fuel supply to the farmers now stuffs up the harvest, what will be the flow on effects for grain supply next year (assuming there is a next year), stock feed, canola oil, etc?

...Or is it just a ploy to panic rural citizens into paying higher prices for fuel (as if it is not expensive enough already)?

Theory as to why we are experiencing severe environmental change.

Oil is the earth’s natural coolant.
Therefore, extraction of oil makes the earth’s crust warmer.
Warmer earth’s crust makes the oceans warmer.
Warmer oceans, causes severe hurricanes/cyclones, and thunderstorms.

Oil is a substance that balances the earth’s crust.
Extraction of oil makes the earth’s crust unbalanced.
Unbalanced earth’s crust causes severe earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanos.

STOP people from getting oil out of our planet. Oil is meant to stay underground. We simply do not need to extract oil, in order to survive. The indigenous populations the world over, survived without extracting oil. We CAN live without ruining the planet. If we continue extracting oil, we will have NO planet. Boycott all oil. Rise up and STOP them getting oil out of the earth. It’s time to forget about money and luxuries. Be virtuous. Do what’s right.

I live in Kentucky in the states... lol very very rural

They are prolly trying to drive you all into the cities... centralized population is easier to control than one that is spread out...

Best way to do that is limit the "blood" of the nation... thats fuel...

there is no shortage looming, we import 20% of our fuel and have an abundance ourselves in all fossil fuels.
