this is not necessarily a doomsday caused by solar flares
Quoting: 1908247 indeed I guess the artist was trying to tell us that the Earth is rotating and that’s why we have day and night, because the Sun can illuminate only the exposed potion of the Earth. Between the moments (1615) Galileo “patented” his heliocentric theory and those Romanian frescoes, 123 years have passed. In 123 years, that theory gained momentum until it reached the “conspiracy level”, especially because the Vatican didn’t want to acknowledge it (he finally ackn.it in 1992 !) You know very well that “conspiracy” travels fast and far (just look at you!) So why is it so hard to believe that after 123 years, a Romanian artist learns about the heliocentrism and creates some frescoes that will depict the “conspiracy” theme ?I don’t see solar flares there. In that narrow space of the wall, he tried to show us how the Sun is illuminating our planet. And now comes the HEAVY part – What is with that illuminati icon, the all-seeing eye ?! Well, the Orthodox Church say is David’s eye
